FAQs

1.How long does it take for a beginner to have a decent ga

me? In the two hour introductory period, you will learn the basic skills of curling and before the session ends you get to play games with experienced curlers. You may not be perfect but you will get to enjoy playing.

2.Will I find it difficult to curl when I don't skate? You will be curling NOT SKATING. You can walk on the ice with your sports shoes and will be given a special teflon slider to put on to get you to glide on the ice. NO SKATES required.

3.What should I wear? Tracksuits will be the best for easy movements like bending and stretching. If not at least a pair of loose pants. If you are afraid of the cold then come prepared with warm tops. Try not to come with jeans as it may restrict your movement. Wear sports shoes. No heels, leather shoes or sandals.

4.Are there any competitions here and outside Singapore? We do have friendly leagues when we get enough teams. Sometimes we participate in friendly tournaments in Japan.

Back in March, our ECC members had a reunion in Vancouver, Canada🍁 . We met up with fellow ECC members Daniel, Cynthia and their team for a friendly ice session at Vancouver’s Marpole Curling Club.
