SMF Sport Climbing 3 (AKA "SNCS 3") Interest check!

Something to look forward to for 2022 - Sport Climbing Level 3 course going at 200/pax. This is a ONCE-OFF offer to help refine future courses, hence the lowered price point. You will NOT be given anything lesser than what you should get from any other provider.

Maximum 4 participants only.
Suggested to sign up as pairs of climbing friends/partners.

REQUIREMENTS:
- SMF "SNCS 2" for Lead Belay+Climb required. Or solid evidence of multiple lead climbs overseas.
- SMF APC 1 (Abseiling Proficiency Course certificate 1) will NOT be necessary, even for those who have not abseiled before.
- Ability to demonstrate competency in Lead Belay/Climb.
- Ability to tie your own Figure-8 Follow-though TIDILY (you'll see why it's important later on)
- Ability to at least consistently climb 6a and up for Lead in gyms, or V2/3+ for Boulder.

YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR INDIVIDUAL...
- Climbing helmet
- Climbing harness
- Climbing shoes
- Climbing rope (>=40m)
- At least 4 locking carabiners (1 more for belay device)
- At least 10 quickdraws (a pair of friends should have 16 or more)
- Personal tether (or PAS, as most people call it, it's OK if you don't have one yet, I have loaners)
- 5mm rated accessory cord (length TBA)
- 6mm rated accessory cord (4 meters)
- 7mm rated accessory cord (5.5-6 meters)
- Most MBDs/ABDs are fine
- Hat/sunnies (cos we only have HOT or WET weather here)
- Rain jacket/hat (if the skies open up, you don't want to be cold and shivering)
- Anything else extra you already have (chalkbag, gloves), feel free to bring along

NOTE:
- Additional items to be purchased to be listed shortly
- Meals not included, location to be confirmed
- One rope shared by two partners signing up together is OK
- Rusty or corroded buckles on your harness is a reason to reject you on the day itself - be warned!
