**Final Day of Our Defence Week! 🛡️**

What better way to learn than by getting the players together to brainstorm and come up with solutions for defending different types of centre pass attacks (CPA)?

At Speed Netball Academy, we believe in building thinking players — athletes who can analyse situations, adapt, and find solutions when challenges arise on court. These are skills that will serve them well not just in netball, but in life too.

Over the past 6 days, we've had an amazing time running this camp and watching our players grow. For those who attended the full programme, the improvements have been clear to see. While they may seem like small achievements, every step forward deserves recognition because changing habits and learning new skills is never easy.

A huge thank you to all our players for their effort and willingness to learn, to the parents for your support in sending and picking them up every day, and to our coaches for their dedication and passion throughout the camp.

We are proud of every single player and can't wait to see them continue applying what they've learned on court! 💙

**Week 2, Day 2! ⚡**

Today was all about developing fast and agile footwork! Our players worked on moving quickly, repositioning efficiently, and sprinting with purpose.

These are key qualities that every strong defender needs on court. Through a series of challenging drills, the girls pushed themselves, gave their best effort, and showed great determination throughout the session.

Defending isn't just about reacting — it's about being able to move quickly and get into the right position at the right time. Well done to everyone for their hard work and energy today. Keep it up! 💪🔥

**SNA June Holiday Netball Camp**
**Week 2: Basics of Defending**

Today's lesson focused on the fundamentals of defending and the key cues that make an effective defender on court!

Unlike attacking skills, defending is not something that can be mastered overnight. It takes time, consistency, and plenty of practice to develop into a strong defender. Through our camp, we break down defensive concepts into simple, practical tips and tricks that help players accelerate their learning and build confidence in defensive situations.

From positioning and timing to reading the attacker and applying pressure, our players gained valuable insights into what it takes to become a smarter and more effective defender.

**Attacking Module 2: Change of Direction, Single Fake & Roll**

This week, our players worked on three key attacking movements – the change of direction, single fake, and roll.

Our coaches focused on explaining the differences between these attacking runs and, most importantly, when to use each movement in different game situations. While mastering decision-making on court takes time and experience, exposing players to these concepts early gives them a valuable head start.

Knowing *what* movement to use is one thing, but knowing *when* to use it is what truly elevates a player's game. Through drills and game application, players learned how to recognise opportunities and make better attacking choices under pressure.

We are proud of everyone who attended and embraced the challenge. Every lesson like this helps our players become smarter, more effective attackers and takes their game to the next level!

**SNA June Holiday Camp – Day 1** 🔥

**Attacking Module Week is underway!**

Different day, different skills, but often it's not just *what* is taught — it's *how* it is taught that makes the difference.

A skill learned in isolation can only take a player so far. Understanding when, where, and how to apply that skill in a game is what truly helps players grow and perform on court.

At Speed Netball Academy, we focus on bridging the gap between skill ex*****on and game application. Through game-based activities and realistic match scenarios, players learn to transfer their skills into meaningful actions on court.

A great start to the week, and we're excited to see our players continue developing their attacking game over the next few days! 💪🏐

Photo dump from TNA Saints 7 Carnival 2026 🩵

Today was truly a proud moment witnessing how much the girls have grown since our last TNA carnival. From struggling to understand footwork to now recognising opponents’ footwork during games — the improvement has been amazing to watch!

Seeing them play with confidence, aggression, teamwork, and cheering each other on both on and off the court was incredibly heartwarming for everyone watching.

While we run netball classes, our goal goes beyond just teaching the sport. We hope to guide the girls to become better teammates, better individuals, and better versions of themselves — learning to reflect on mistakes and grow stronger each time.

Way to go, SNA girls! So proud of all of you — keep going, you’ve got this! 💪✨

Today, we introduced our little ones to the art of defending! 🩵

We’re so proud to see them keep trying again and again, and even more excited to watch some of them achieve great success after lots of perseverance! Defensive techniques can be challenging even for adults, so it’s definitely not easy for our young players.

That’s why we’re happy to introduce these skills slowly but steadily in our classes, building their confidence step by step. Watching everyone grow stronger, braver, and more determined each session makes us so proud! 💪✨

So proud of these girls for earning their spot in the U17 team again this year 💙🏐

Behind every selection is countless hours of training, resilience, discipline and the courage to keep improving. Watching them grow on and off court has been such a rewarding journey.
