Seni Silat Cindai Putih was founded in 1981 by the late grandmaster Bapak Kiayi Hj Sidek Maulashah Marican and was incorporated in Malaysia on the 3rd August 1995 as 'Persatuan Seni Silat Cindai Putih Malaysia'. He has been sucessfully managing Ciputih since the early 2000, after the passing of Bapak Kiayi. Silat Cindai Putih orginated from a place in middle Java, Indonesia known as Demak. This si

lat was introduced by the late Sheikh Sunan Bonang and Sheikh Sunan Ampel who are two of the nine famous wali. (Pious and religious warrior)

Silat Cindai Putih does not practise mysticism which in some cases practise oil bath, reciting to spirits and those kind of wrong doings and beliefs. It's concept is more towards controlled breathing exercise complete with physical and mental training. The main objective of Silat Cindai Putih being formed is to create a kind of healthy sports activity so as to guide the community towards a healthier and more dynamic society as well as to introduce the richness of the Malay culture to the younger generations. Seni Silat Cindai Putih is open to people of all races; so that they can also learn and come to understand our Malay culture. The latter, we believe we can produce a more harmonious and prosperous community.
