Race report from Hökensås and the first official VGC Cup race.

Never been on this track before so practice and time qualifying were spent learning lines and track layout.

Both heats were terrible from a start perspective, I need to practice and learn not to hesitate, more gas for a longer time basically 😅

Anyways!
38 racers lined up for C Finals.

Heat 1: track was prepped to some extent and lines were cleared so didn't get a good feel, left first corner in P35, managed to climb to P28, improved on qualifying times quite alot and I'm pleased with the effort 👌

Heat 2: First corner was prepped but rest of the track were left as is.
Again another horrible start and into a tight first corner were people lined up to get through, left first corner in P37, found some great flow though and picked up alot of speed, finished the race in P23.

Summary: extremely happy with the race at hökensås, track was crazy rough and the deep beach look-a-like sand was showing no remorse, but left the day as an improved rider with new experiences.

Next up, Hard packed Borås FMCK!

From last wednesday practice at Stenunsunds MS, now ill prioritize maintance and prepare for the first race of the VGC series, Kinds MK!
Lets see if I manage to place better than last year 🫣

Anyways, this week will contain daily bicycle exercise to keep blood flowing, fixing my new SELA launch button and then get some start practice done, race on Saturday and more updates to come as the day goes by! 🫡

Didn't have the ambition to perform any miracles but I survived the weekend, so I'm pleased 😂
New track I've never visited before so practice and qualifying were mostly spent to learn lines and track layout.
Heat 1 went alright, managed to get around and pleased with my own progress from qualifying
Heat 2 I was in a nasty crash in the start, managed to ride straight into someone who fell in front of me, we were both OK and i shrugged it off, improved on my personal best so all in all a fun weekend.

Now we look forward to first VGC race (pre race) at Kinds MCK.

Been slacking on updating for some time now but winter has been slow and rainy, been spending more time in the gym and some bike trimming than actually riding, however picking it back up in roughly two weeks when the tracks open up down south! So more updates to come.

Now I spent this morning putting on some carbon fork guards and applying the last missing pieces of my livery set from @229.design , hook him up for some custom and super affordable livery!

Anyways, I'm already hyped for a crazy 2023, let's start this year the best way we can, happy new year everyone! 🥳
