BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 'ADULT/JUNIOR 'BANGERS PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY 21st JUNE 2026 AT SKEGNESS RACEWAY.
Hello everyone from Skegness Raceway and we hope that you are enjoying your racing season and keeping well?
Sunday 21st June will see our traditional Banger meeting on Father's Day once again run a Adult /Junior Pairs Championship where An Old School Unlimited Banger Driver is Partnered with a Junior Banger Driver for the day. It really was a most enjoyable day last year and was very well received by all who took part.
As a reminder the Old school Unlimited Bangers are to be built to Full ORCi 2026 National Banger spec but will race Strictly NUDGE AND SPIN ONLY! The races will also be run as Graded order starts giving everyone a fair chance of getting results.
Each Partnership is down to the driver's choice and they will book in as a Partnership if they wish to be part of the Pairs Championship which again is being sponsored by
JW RECOVERY AND TRANSPORT from Boston and we thank them for their continued support.
Both Formulas will run their own race meetings in the normal manner and even those drivers WITHOUT a Partner in the other Formula CAN STILL RACE. At last year's event a handful of Adult/ Junior partnerships were actually formed on the day with those that had turned up to fly solo and that is something that we will look into doing again if required.
For both the Old School Nudge and Spin only Unlimited Bangers and Junior Bangers it will be a full Points scoring meeting regardless if you are in the Pairs Championship or not.
For those Drivers in the Pairs Championship the Points scored on the Day for the Unlimited Banger Driver and the Partnering Junior Banger Driver will be added together. Courtesy of our Sponsors JW RECOVERY AND TRANSPORT the Top 3 points scoring Pairs will receive Trophies and Prize Money with £100 , £60 and £40 to the top 3 Pairs.
Something different to look forward to and although it is completely open as to who you choose to be Partnered with , as it is being staged on Father's Day it would be great to see some Racing Dad's out there Partnering their kids. A brilliant way to spend Father's Day.

As per last year, we are also running Micro Bangers on the day too.

We do please ask when booking in, that if you are booking in a Partnership for the pairs championship you make it clear who you are partnered with , or if you are flying solo at this stage. For any Junior Bangers we MUST have details of which ORCi promotion you are registered with to be able to accept your booking.

Hello to everyone from Skegness Raceway and please find below the booking list so far for this coming Sunday, 12th April for the 'Crashattack' meeting when we remember the much missed Chris Murfin who certainly played his part during his Banger racing career amongst racing a variety of formulas over the years.
Bookings are Still OPEN for all formulas and for anyone wishing to book in for 2L National Bangers then please send a Private message only to the Skegness Raceway National Banger page on Facebook or contact Mr Crashattack himself, Steve Lovick who can be found on Facebook.
This meeting is for regular 2l National Bangers and doesn't have any age restrictions on eligibility of cars so anyone with a Mondeo etc that is sat there ready to go then by all means get in touch and we can add you to the list.
In Crashattack meeting tradition, going on opposite is NOT ALLOWED at this meeting.

2026 2l National Bangers Crashattack Chris Murfin Memorial , 2l Bangers bookings are Now OPEN!

Hello everyone from Skegness Raceway, we hope you are keeping well and have had a good start to 2026?
Our full fixture list for 2026 is available on our website and we will bring further news on our Banger dates in due course.
We are now pleased though to Open bookings for our Traditional Chris Murfin Memorial meeting on Sunday 12th April. We will be running the meeting the same as last year with Regular 2l National Bangers and will be a full points scoring meeting for Skegness Raceway registered National Banger Drivers. The meeting will be staying with Crashattack tradition and will still be a NO GOING ON OPPOSITE Meeting . There will be awards for entertainment and smart/rare cars and we once again thank our main Banger sponsor for the day JF COMMERCIALS for their continued support.
The meeting will also feature Junior Bangers , along with 2l Saloons and 1300 Saloons.
We are now taking Bookings for 2l Bangers only for the moment and Junior Banger bookings will Open open in a couple of weeks time.
To book in for 2l Bangers only , Drivers can either send a Private message ONLY to the Skegness Raceway National Bangers page on Facebook ( bookings will not be taken by leaving names in the comments to this post as they unfortunately can be missed) , or by contacting Mr Crashattack himself Steve Lovick as Steve is collecting bookings on our behalf,and Steve can also be found on Facebook. We would like to thank everyone for making Sunday's Scott Graves memorial Meeting another successful and enjoyable day.
The drivers once again put in a huge effort in sourcing and building their Pre 90 Bangers and certainly put them to good use in true Banger racing style and provided a very fitting tribute to Scott. Drivers, we thank you all for your valuable support and for once racing the meeting in the right spirit with plenty of crashing.
Congratulations to an emotional Liam Stark on winning the memorial shield and we thank Scott's family for being on hand to make the presentations in Scott's memory. We hope they enjoyed their day with us at the raceway.

This coming Sunday 12th October will see our annual Pre 90 1600cc National Banger meeting in memory of the late 577 Scott Graves and we would like to thank our meeting sponsors for the day whose input is very much on rewarding both those who doing the winning and in particular those who get stuck in and entertain.

This is the day though when we remember the much missed 577 Scott Graves, a great Character who loved his Bangers , and the corresponding meetings the last few years have been absolutely brilliant where every driver came with the perfect attitude for a fun day of racing with plenty of crashing and it was definitely smiles and handshakes all round.

For anyone still interested in booking in, We have duplicated below all the information for a recap of the Rules regarding Car eligibility and build regs etc. . . . .

This is very much a fun meeting aimed at the smaller , old skool 1600 cars that raced in our very popular 'Bangerstox' formula back in the day when the larger 1600 cars were deemed more suitable for the 2l Bangers. Although there were a couple of models that crossed over into both and that will still apply here. This meeting is for those cars best described as 'Bilge' in Banger racing terms.
To keep the spirit of the meeting as fun and without the quicker models we have kept the build rules as previous years , in particular the NO 16v engine rule! There is a But to this rule however, with a possible exception as explained.
If someone however does find a car ,in particular some of the pre 90 Japanese models, that has its original engine and is 16v then this may be considered but you Must ASK FIRST by sending a private message to this page giving details of the car and our panel of judges will decide if it's in the spirit of the meeting. There will definitely though be No Vauxhall, Rover etc with 16v engines, it's the Japanese or Similar models that will be considered.

This will be a NO going on opposite meeting except for the DD.

Rules that remain from previous years
No Twin Cam engines and NO 16v. (See above for possible exception)
Larger models such as Bluebirds, Primeras, Mk3/4/5 Cortinas, Stella's etc are NOT allowed.
Sierra's however are allowed as they were back in the day of the Bangerstox formula
MK3 Astra and Proton Wira are allowed ,as although slightly after 1990 is deemed in the spirit of the meeting. Please ask if you find a similar age car and our panel will also consider it being allowed .

Engine swaps are allowed and 8v Vauxhall engines are regarded as a suitable replacement if required in FWD but permission must be given first. 1600 pinto is ok in RWD but again ask first please.
FWD cars may fit a 'Suitable' Dizzy Guard but can only be Bolted to the Engine. A Cam Guard may also be fitted , Bolted to the Engine only and must be One Steel mount, Wrap round Cam Guards are NOT allowed.

RWD cars fitted with a 1600 Pinto may fit a 'Suitable' Dizzy and Cambelt Guard but must be fitted to the Engine only. It Must also be Original fittings only on the Cambelt Cover
Steam Tanks to come no further forward than the leading face of the Cylinder head.

You can EITHER have a Solid engine mount OR a Solid Gearbox mount, you CAN NOT HAVE BOTH! .

A reminder that Over built cars will NOT be allowed to race. Welding of Corrosion/ Rusted areas can only be to MOT standard and NOT beyond. All Bonnets MUST be presented at Scrutineering please.

BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN!

A look back at some fantastic memories over the years at our annual Scott Graves memorial Meeting. Very much a fun day with plenty of crashing for the cars labeled 'Bilge' in the Banger racing world. Pre 90 1600 Bangers is the order of the day with 16V Engines are generally NOT allowed to keep everyone at similar speeds and some larger 1600 cars are also not permitted. More information regarding car specs and which cars are allowed can be found on our previous post on the the Skegness Raceway National Banger page on Facebook.
