THE BISH BASH 4/10/26 - UPDATED BOOKINGS as @ 18/9/26 (see below).

Hello once again from Skegness Raceway and we hope you are all keeping well?
Sunday 4th October 2026 sees the staging of the Bish Bash – a celebration of Nicky 'Bish' Bishops 25 years in Bangers . The meeting is for 1600cc National Bangers with full contact all day but no turning around and bookings are still being taken and See below for the updated booking list so far.

For anyone who would like to contribute to the sponsorship of this special meeting then please get in touch with the man himself Nicky Bishop or a member of the Skegness team . Further details on additional incentives such as entertainer awards and car awards will be announced in due course

A reminder of car specs and how to book in are as follows. . . .
Cars are to be built to the current FWD National Banger rules and all under 1600cc cars are eligible subject to the following normal exceptions:

No cars that are listed on the Micro Banger eligible car list
No Ford Galaxy
No Ford Kuga
No Ford Mondeo
No Ford S-Max
No Vauxhall Insignia

The aim of the meeting is to create the vibe of the earlier part of Bish’s racing career, hence the no turning around rule. Whilst we expect that cars such as the Mk5 Astra will account for much of the entry, hopefully this rule will help to encourage a few slightly earlier cars onto the track that drivers may have left over from other meetings or that didn’t get built in time and are taking up space.

Junior Bangers are also appearing at the same fixture, so it is an ideal opportunity to bring the family or friends for a day of racing.

To book in for the 1600 Bangers please either send a Private message ONLY to the Skegness Raceway National Banger page on Facebook or by contacting either Steve Lovick or Alistair Oxby . Both Steve and Alistair can be found on Facebook and we thank them for collecting the bookings on our behalf.

For Junior Bangers please book in via your usual methods.

SUNDAY 30th AUGUST, OLD SCHOOL UNLIMITED BANGERS BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN.

Hello to everyone from Skegness Raceway and we hope you are all keeping well?
A reminder that Bank holiday Sunday special for Old School Unlimited Bangers takes place on Sunday 30th August at 1pm and the corresponding event over the few years has been a huge success and certainly entertained the large holiday crowd and created a fantastic atmosphere. With the Big thunder Monster Truck and the New for 2026 Mini Thunder Stunt truck also on the menu it is a great day out for families.
As always the Unlimited Bangers are to be built to ORCi Unlimited National Banger rules and will race Strictly Nudge and Spin only. The Unlimited Bangers will be as always run with graded order starts and it will be a full points scoring meeting.

Bookings for Unlimited Bangers can now be made by sending a Private message only to the Skegness Raceway National Banger page on Facebook or by contacting Steve Lovick who is happy to take bookings on our behalf. Steve can also be found on Facebook.

Please find below the updated booking list for our mid week holiday Banger meeting special on Tuesday 11th August. Bookings are still being taken for what is always a great night with the holiday crowd creating a brilliant atmosphere. If you are still able to make it even at this short notice, you are more than welcome and you will NOT be turned away. The more the merrier!!

The Nudge and Spin ONLY Old Skool Unlimited Bangers are built to ORC Unlimited National Banger Spec so if anyone has a car sat there ready to go you are more than welcome to come along and enjoy the night. We also run the races in Graded order to give everyone a fair chance.
With Junior Bangers always providing great entertainment at Skegness the holiday crowd will definitely enjoy their night.

TUESDAY 11TH AUGUST, OLD SCHOOL UNLIMITED BANGERS and JUNIOR BANGERS. BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN.

Hello to everyone from Skegness Raceway and we hope you are all keeping well?
A reminder that Our peak holiday season special for Old School Unlimited Bangers together with Junior Bangers takes place on Tuesday 11th August at 7pm and the corresponding event over the last couple of years has been a huge success and certainly entertained the large holiday crowd. Many of the race teams and fans enjoying a day at the Lincolnshire seaside before a great evening at the racing which always has a brilliant atmosphere with the holiday maker crowd. As always the Unlimited Bangers are to be built to ORCi Unlimited National Banger rules and will race Strictly Nudge and Spin only. The Unlimited Bangers will be as always run with graded order starts and it will be a full points scoring meeting.

A big thank you from us all at Skegness Raceway to everyone who supported, on both sides of the fence, our traditional Fathers Day Banger meeting. Once again it was a most enjoyable day, with some super fast racing and plenty of thrills and spills throughout the meeting.
Thank you to our Adult/Junior Pairs championship sponsors JW RECOVERY AND TRANSPORT and congratulations to the top 3 pairs . It was very close at the top with the winners Tommy Rawsthorne and Elliot Royal winning by just one point over last year's winners Tom Waller and Bailey Holmes. Third place went to Matty Hembrow and Oscar Booth who were only a further two points behind.
A great day all round and once again thank you for your support and we will bring you some more Skegness Banger racing news soon.
