ROX Rankings vs Official HYROX Rankings
When HYROX launched its official ranking system, much of the discussion focused on Strength of Field, race volume, and the weighting of Majors and World Championships.
Now, with a full season of data, we can finally compare two very different ranking philosophies side-by-side.
The results are interesting.
Some athletes move only a few places.
Others move dozens.
The biggest reason isn't just Strength of Field. It's how much value each system places on the sport's biggest performances.
The official ranking rewards consistency and race participation across the season.
ROX Rankings places greater emphasis on championship performances, major races, and high-quality fields.
Neither approach is necessarily better than the other.
They simply answer different questions.
Swipe through the rankings and see where the systems agree — and where they don't.
Keep in mind that since Hyrox announced the new system in February, many athletes planned their races to maximize their points given the incentives in the system.
I will be retiring the RoxRanking system but thought I would do a final post to show the differences.
Which philosophy do you think better reflects the current HYROX landscape?
