I had my birthday yesterday, but we were completely inside the competition process physically and mentally…
Good thing my mother taught me to celebrate my birthday for the whole week 😄
(Because I almost never could celebrate it on the actual day - I always had trainings 😂 But I was never sad about it. I was just sure it was okay, because I had the whole week to celebrate 😊 What a smart mother I have 😄)
So I’m still the birthday girl)

All my childhood, from the very first moments I remember myself consciously, I was doing gymnastics (starting from age 6), and I finished when I was 17.
Did I like it when I was a child? I liked being a gymnast. And I liked some trainings… But other trainings… The training process didn't havemany happy moments, except being with friends.
I’m not going to tell you everything - I had quite the usual gymnast package from the 2000s: some thoughts about how awful I was, some hatred toward my body, everyday guilt for not being good enough… Nothing special for those years and for gymnastics.

Actually, I wasn’t that bad and I definitely did my best. I was just training in an Olympic center, where they automatically expected a higher-level gymnast from me. And even despite all the tough things that happened during that period, I still loved gymnastics.
That’s what helped me go through all of it - and that’s why I came back a couple of years after finishing my career 😌

Gymnastics gave me a lot of different and useful experiences.
For example, celebrating your birthday on any day you can and whole week 😄

When I have a reason for something, it gives me energy and I can go through anything.
Honestly, I was happy to be with my Brazilian team participating in the Brazilian Championship on my birthday 🙌
I can’t say it turned out to be a very happy competition (I mean the competition part itself), but it was a very useful experience that will help us and work for us in the future 😌
Not all life is complete happiness - some moments are more about experience 😅

Sometimes you just keep going.

For some reason I like to wish to my gymnasts “good luck!” Although I actually think that luck almost doesn’t exist in sports…
And there’s also that superstition that wishing luck doesn't being good luck)
So, for example, in Argentina coaches sometimes wish "a lot of sh*t!” one to each other, what means the same thing just from the other side 😌

But does luck exist in sports or not?
Honestly, I think there is only a little bit of luck.
But it’s not “luck” like magic.
Anyone who waits for magic won’t win, because that kind of luck doesn’t help in sports.

And what does help?
Hard working 🤷‍♀️
And hard working with intelligence.
Without getting stuck on whether you had / have / will have luck or not.
That helps.
And it helps a lot.
*without intelligence, it doesn’t 🙃

The ones who work day after day, improving their abilities (physical and let’s not forget psychological abilities too), end up having more “luck” in the end.

So yes, sports luck exists.
That’s why I like wishing “good luck!”
Because I want my gymnasts to want to have luck - and to work hard and smart to get it 😌

And I try to set a good example :)
I work a lot to have that luck, because I like being lucky 😈

Watching a tournament isn’t as fun as it may look at first glance 😌
It’s actually more like a job – if you watch the whole competition. But it’s a very useful kind of work.

Once in a while I do this: I pick a competition and watch it. (This time I was lucky – a great tournament came to me in person 😊🍀) Sometimes I really watch all the gymnasts. Like last Thursday, when I followed the World Championship qualification. I was watching from 9 am to 9 pm (they finished around 10, but I just couldn’t keep going anymore).

It’s always interesting to see where gymnastics exists, where it’s strong, and where it’s growing. You know I love traveling and working in different countries 😊 That’s why I’m curious about the full picture 😌👌

Any special thoughts after this tournament? Yes – I want to create series again! There’s so much freedom in creating right now 😍
I have some ideas and a list of music I’d love to bring to life in new routines ✨
(And it seems like soon I’ll have that space to create 😌)

Also, I always take notes while watching. For example, I noticed that many gymnasts are using a new (or not so new) type of throw with clubs. I liked the idea and I’m going to teach my gymnasts to do it 🤓 I also thought about some new masteries, so I want to test them with my gymnasts – to see which ideas actually work 🤔

You don’t have to watch competitions from 9 am to 9 pm. But whether you’re a coach or a gymnast, you should watch them from time to time.
Because that brings you:
- experience
- new ideas and space for fresh thoughts
- motivation 🔥

I’m charged up for great work now 🤓👌🔥

Thank you all! ❤️

My last weeks in Buenos Aires were wonderful 🥰
It felt like they were made especially to be remembered this way 😌 And I will remember everything ✨
That quick decision to leave wasn’t easy… but it was necessary.
Thank you all for being with me along this journey 🙏

Huge thanks to everyone at 🙌
And of course, thank you, Buenos Aires 🥰

See you ❤️

BIG NEWS: I’m going to move to Brazil 🇧🇷

What happened?
Argentina’s new immigration rules no longer align with my life goals, which were:
1. To travel and see the world.
2. To grow professionally.
3. To help improving gymnastics all over the world (sorry not sorry for my confidence here 😛)
4. To find a new place to call home – somewhere to return to after traveling the world

Well, I also dreamed of getting a new passport... But it turned out that now I can’t achieve the goal I was so close to 🤷‍♀️
(I was going to start the procedure this September.)

According to Argentina’s new immigration rules, I would need to stay in the country for 2,5-3 more years without traveling abroad in order to apply for citizenship… But that’s how I imagine my life 🤷‍♀️

As for “home” – I’ve lived in Russia, Cyprus, Turkey, and Argentina. And honestly, I loved my life in Argentina the most.
So yes, I’ll keep moving, but I can still come back to Argentina as home.

Actually, I feel like I can be at home in many places 😌
But we’ll see.
Anyway, Argentina will always stay with me – it’s not disappearing ❤️

I’m taking with me:
– Mate (I have no idea how to live without it now 😅)
– The confidence and freedom to do anything I imagine. Write a book? – Why not. Sew clothes and organize an exhibition? – Go for it 🙌
– Argentinean accent – I just love it 😌
– Lionel Scaloni’s interviews (Idk, I just love listening to good coaches 😄)

And… it’s time to move on ✊

Idiomas. Языки. Diller. Languages I can speak with gymnasts:

🇺🇸 I speak English fluently and I can explain everything in detail.

🇪🇸🇦🇷 Hablo español bien y puedo explicar cualquier cosa con detalles.

____________

*In any language, my goal is to explain the details – because that’s what matters the most. When a gymnast understands how a movement works, she can perform it much better 💯
____________

I think I could even learn a language just for a gymnast 😊 I love my gymnasts and I love learning new languages, and I can see how happy they are when I try to say even a single word in their language. Even if it’s just fun at first (because it always takes a few months to really start speaking), fun and atmosphere are important parts of the process too ☝️
But of course, it depends.
For example, I started exploring Arabic for a gymnast from Egypt 🇪🇬 and it’s really difficult 😌
She understands English well, but she still doesn’t want to understand the idea of patience.
So I decided: if I spend a few hours learning the word “patience” in Arabic (the alphabet, the writing, the pronunciation)… she’ll smile at first, but she’ll also see how patience actually works 😇

It’s not just about corrections - it helps me create a training environment where gymnasts feel understood, encouraged and supported.
– I’m here to help and to work as a team 💪

15/05/2025

Recently, one of my gymnast’s mothers asked me to help her with nutrition. And it turned out that they needed to change quite a few things.

So I wrote some basic rules to help them change their nutrition habits.
While you read them, keep in mind: this is about CHANGE, this is about STARTING the change and the gymnast is quite young (9 years old).
But the foundation is always the same ☝️

First of all, these rules are for parents, because it’s parents who teach their children how to eat. At the beginning, it’s their responsibility — only later it becomes the gymnast’s.

So if 1) you (or your gymnast) are older, if 2) you already follow all of these rules —
you can add more.
Like: “eat more vegetables,” “reduce carbs,” “replace more food with healthier recipes,” etc.
But always remember: food is your energy, and you need enough of it 👌

I also always repeat that having fun and positive emotions is important.
Why do I care about that so much?
Because when you have positive emotions, your brain learns faster and better ☝️

Make conversations about nutrition interesting or even turn them into a game.
If you don’t know how to make it interesting or what to talk about, read some books about learning/speaking/nutrition (it’s always useful in general).
And remember: the atmosphere should be pleasant.
No lectures, no shouting — be nice and supportive 😊

14/04/2025

If a gymnast doesn’t feel their feet, just imagine – how can they start feeling them if they’re simply repeating movements and we’re just asking them to tense their feet? Even if we shout it loudly? 🤔
“Feet!!!”
How can you fix something you don’t even feel?

The key to teaching gymnasts how to tense any part of the body is helping them feel that part – feel the muscles used for a particular movement.

So we sit on the floor and show them how to lift their heels off the floor, and how the quadriceps move when they do it. Up-down, up-down, up-down…
From that moment on, you can ask them to keep their heels lifted when sitting on the floor, doing a split, middle split, etc.
Then you tell them about the kneecap and the achilles tendon…
Then you do a million more exercises, “find” the toes while walking, jumping, and so on – and finally, yes, we can shout “Feet!!” and expect gymnasts to actually understand us 😌

Maybe they’ll still forget to tense their feet sometimes, but I swear – it’ll happen way less often 💯👌

Parterre. Ballet (at least some parts of it). Proprioception. Amen. 😁
Without it, nothing works in gymnastics.

Only ☝️
I don’t start with too many parterre exercises right away.
Just because it's quite hard.
There is a risk of having gymnasts’ faces like the gymnast in the second line of this picture 😅
Step by step, then 😌
But after some practice, gymnasts begin to notice results, get more motivated, and even those who were bored at the beginning lose that feeling and get to work.

It’s only hard at the beginning 👌

I wanted to say "no comments" here 😂
Because I like to joke and laugh 😅
But that's not only funny, that's serious too 🤷‍♀️
So...

Rhythmic gymnastics is becoming more and more difficult to understand from the outside...
So parents need support and explanations too. They want to be sure, that they do things correct. And that's normally.
There are many courses, reels, coaches, infirmation, schools, they are all different and there are plenty of them! I can imagine how hard it can be for parents to stay calm and not get nervous nowadays...
Also, by old tradition, coaches often don’t have time to explain things, to talk, to tell how gymnastics works, etc.

So yeah, I also support and help parents to not get crazy, when they need this support.

The only important note: so many voices is more about my online work 😌
Because in online work I'm a helper. I'm not the main coach there.

In my work at the gym I'm a bit different, but I always try to be an understandable coach. I'm sure that this is important.
I like to work with calm people, so I try to create that calm atmosphere 🧘
Mostly it works 🙃
___________

I added Vivaldi to this post, because when I have too many thoughts or I'm super tired I like to listen classical music) It relaxes my mind ✨

I also always support my gymnasts as much as I can – during training process, before competitions, throughout the competition process, and after.

If I see that a gymnast has a problem and I can help – I try to help.

Also, after some time, they get used to asking me about everything.

Recently, one of my gymnasts and I worked on a food diary and eating problems. Several weeks we were writing a diary and then I asked some more questions and gave advice, how to make this process more comfortable.
That day we had one more issue to solve and we spoke a large part of our 1.5-hour training.
Sometimes it’s really more important, than physical training.

(Of course, if I see that I can’t help or it's not enough, I ask the parents to find a specialist for that.)

Sometimes gymnasts also get very nervous and overthink before competitions. But their reasons are usually quite different. So we also talk about it, and I try to find out what’s really behind it.

This attention to the mental side of the process helps me guide them in their growth.

They are doing big things.
And they deserve all our support! 🙌

This January was difficult 🫠
But that’s okay – we all go through tough periods sometimes 🤷‍♀️

In such moments, I support myself as much as I can and try to do more things that bring me joy while avoiding as many things as possible that drain too much extra energy (first of all mentally).

For example, I ignored managing Instagram. At the same time, I spent a lot of time studying, writing and rewriting training programs. I kept giving all my usual training sessions and even started working with two new gymnasts. I was completely focused on that working process.
Actually my duties save me at such a moments. So working with my gymnasts supports me.

I also took extra care to rest well on my days off. I walked a lot, explored new cafés, visited done museums, I had some rest by the river…

That’s what works for me during tough periods.

I just keep doing what I can.
And I don’t force myself to do extra stuff.

And now I’m ready to push myself again – because if I don’t, who will?
