We are happy to announce the final meeting of the FAIR IN SPORT, FAIR BY NATURE project, which took place on October 27th in Bucharest, Romania.

FAIR IN SPORT, FAIR BY NATURE is a project dedicated to promoting sports and environmental education among children.

Throughout the meeting, we engaged in discussions regarding various aspects, including providing feedback for the Green Kids Festival, disseminating the project's results, outlining the Green Kids Calendar, and defining the tasks for the Final Report.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a guided tour of Bucharest, which included visits to the Regal Palace and key locations in the old town. Special thanks to History Students Association „Dacia” for making this guided tour a captivating and interactive experience.

It was a pleasure to share insights about the project's outcomes and the profound impact of our activities.

Sustainable GREEN KIDS CALENDAR is elaborated as a dissemination and sustainable tool allowing all interested organisations to apply for participation in “green games” as a means of promoting sustainable and responsible urban initiatives.

In the last year, our consortium with organisations from Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Turkiye developed a methodology with 24 traditional and innovative games in order to develop green competencies for children.

”Green Kids Festival” has happened on the 12 of July in Rijeka, Croatia.

The games implemented were researched from 4 countries: Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Turkiye, all part of the Fair in Sport, Fair by Nature Project in order to promote green .

In ”Kids Fest Bulgaria” more than 80 children took part where they had fun, met new friends and they played international sports games.

Project co-funded by the European Union.

In Varna, Bulgaria, on the 1st of June has happened ”Green Kids Festival”.

The festival is part of the Fair in Sport, Fair by Nature Project was a summary of the best practices and games from 4 countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkiye and Romania.

In ”Kids Fest Bulgaria” more than 150 children took part where they had fun, met new friends and played international sports games in order to learn about taking care of .

Between April 24-26, the Learning, Teaching and Training activity took place in Varna within the Fair in Sport, Fair by Nature project.

The main objective of the project is to develop a non-formal training method that connects sports activities with sustainable environmental issues, using an innovative approach.

During the meeting, the compendium of traditional and innovative games for the environment, developed by the project consortium, was presented to primary school teachers.

Each partner had the chance to present a game from each country to the children during class.

The children and teachers told us that they like the games, that they had a good time during the filming of the videos and that they can't wait to experience the games of other countries.

Soon the methodology for teachers, animators and organisations will be ready!

🌍 Happy World Environment Day! 🌿

Today, we come together to celebrate and reflect on the importance of our planet and the role we all play in protecting it. World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5th, is a global initiative led by the United Nations to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote positive action.

This year, we are reminded of the theme "Investing in Our Planet." It emphasizes the need to invest our time, resources, and efforts into safeguarding the environment for present and future generations. It calls upon individuals, communities, governments, and businesses to come together and take concrete steps towards sustainable development.

Investing in our planet means recognizing the invaluable services provided by nature, such as clean air, fresh water, and a stable climate. It involves embracing renewable energy sources, reducing waste and pollution, conserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable practices in all aspects of life.

We can all contribute to this global effort. Here are some ways you can make a difference:

1️⃣ Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Practice the 3Rs by minimizing waste, reusing items, and recycling whenever possible. Opt for eco-friendly alternatives and adopt a circular economy mindset.

The compendium of 24 traditional and innovative games is ready to be learned and played by from .

During the last months of the project Fair in Sport, Fair by Nature, the partners from the project worked together for finding the most suitable games and also to have fun during the filming of them.

Each partner came up with 6 games: traditional and innovative. The games are a learning method that connects sport with education about environment.

The games are addressed to teachers, facilitators, animators, parents or coaches, people that work with children and could share with them the fun of the games.
