University Football League Cluj - UFL The UFL is a football league for students, who study in Cluj. It takes place on the soccer pitch of Iuliu Hatieganu University/UMF starting in October 2021.

Dear students.

After carefully acessing the current situation we came to the conclusion that we will not start the season until spring.

For us it is most important to ensure both viewers and larger teams to be able to participate in the games.
However due to the newly published covid 19 restrictions this would only partly work out.
We would much rather postpone the league for another semester and hope for the best conditions.
Kickstarting the league with these already bad conditions and with a permanent risk of having to discontinue after a few games is no option for us.
We all are quite disappointed but we know we made the right decision.

We will keep you up to date as usual.
If something changes you are the first to know!

As you might have heard the numbers are going up, due to that we will freeze the start of the league for now. We WON‘T play this weekend.

Good evening guys, it´s time to get ready!

First things first, VERY IMPORTANT, all players have to have the green certificate or a vaccination certificate to take part. The captains are obligated to collect these proofs and send it all together to our email: [email protected]. Without the proof of being either vaccinated, recovered or tested, you CANNOT play in the league.

Second, the first match days will be played on this upcoming weekend, 2nd and 3rd of October, at Gheorgheni Sports Center (Strada Alexandru Vaida Voevod, Cluj-Napoca). BUT only for the first match day. From the second match day until the end every game will be played at the UMF pitch. The weekend on the 9th and 10th of October will be free.
Why? The Qualifier Tournament is not going to happen, we will set a limit of 20 teams. Now, we have 15 teams officially registered. Do not hesitate and safe your spot as soon as possible!

Dear Students
The UMF Football League is going into the third season, after being forced to pause for over 1.5 years now.
We have worked on optimizing the system and the organisation and were trying to make this season even better than the ones before!
What do you need to know?
The tournament will be played out in two equally strong leagues with the best teams advancing into playoffs and fighting for the crown.
Each team has to qualify for the league in a qualifying tournament taking place on 2nd of october at the Gheorgheni sports complex.
You have not applied for the qualifying yet? Go get your spot right now! Email address and description are mentioned on the corresponding instagram and pages together with the rules and regulations.
Were all looking forward to seeing you again in person. On and besides the pitch.

Hello everyone,
We are back! Finally it is time and starting from October 2021 the UFL Cluj will start in its third season.

The registration window for the Qualifier Tournament is now open until the 30th of September 2021. This season every team must qualify.

How to register? Send an email to: [email protected] with your squad name and the list of all your players (Minimum 6 and maximum 10 players for a team, it is highly recommended to fill up all the spots, because no external players will be allowed to play). Plus you need to read the attached rules and regulations paper, sign it and attach it to the email.

Draga bobocule umfist,
Ai ajuns in sfârșit in orașul viselor - Cluj, dar ce spui daca ti-am face viața și mai frumoasa? Dacă iti place fotbalul, te interesează sa joci intr-un campionat, concurând cu alti jucatori buni, îți place spirtul de echipa și atmosfera sporturilor, atunci ai șansa sa te inscri pentru așa ceva.
Trebuie sa ai o echipa de 6-9 jucatori pentru turneul de calificare care va avea loc in data de 12 octombrie. Data limita pentru înscrieri este 5 octombrie.
Dacă tu și echipa ta reușiți sa treceti de calificări, veți avea in fiecare Sâmbătă sau Duminica câte un meci după-amiaza împotriva celorlalte echipa calificate.

Când ai strâns toată echipa, trimite-ne următoarele date la adresa: [email protected] - numele echipei, numărul jucătorilor și numele acestora.

INFO: Exista o mică taxa de participare pentru turneul de calificare - 20 lei de echipa.

Dear UMF firsties,

Now that you have finally arrived in the city of dreams Cluj, we can make your life even better.
If you like football and you are interested in playing in a league, competing with other great football players and enjoying good sports spirit, then you have the chance to sign up for that.

You need to have or be in a team having 6-9 players for our qualifying tournament, which takes place on the 12th of October. The deadline for the qualification is the 5th of October.

If you and your team do manage to qualify for the league, you will have weekly games Saturday or Sunday in the early evening playing against other teams.

When you have gathered your team, send to [email protected] your team name, the number of players and the names of your players.

Info: To participate in the qualifying tournament there is little fee of 20 lei mandatory for every team.
But it is not a lot if you share it with your teammates.

Good evening to everyone! 🇬🇧

The UFL League organization team started the official admission process recently. Everybody can apply from now on to October with their team. Please send an email to [email protected]. We also decided, that we would like to give everybody (woman and man) the chance to be part of the League. If we find enough teams (at least four!)we’ll plan a separate league for woman.

So tell it to everybody you know, build up a team and sign up. Be part of the process of making the UFL League bigger and bigger. We’re looking forward for your requests.

On vous informe que l’UFL (la League de Football des étudiants de Cluj) vient de commencer ses inscriptions! Le championnat est ouvert à tout le monde!

Construis ton équipe et inscris la dès maintenant! Le tournoi de qualification pour la League aura lieu en Octobre. Nous avons aussi décidé de donner le droit aux garçons et aux filles d’y participer. Si nous avons assez d’équipes féminines (au minimum 4 ) nous ferons une League féminine séparée.

Partagez en masse! Nous allons faire en sorte que l’UFL grandisse encore et encore! Nous attendons vos demandes!

Va anunțam ca UFL (University Football League) a dat drumul înscrierilor la campionatul de fotbal universitar din toamna aceasta. Am decis sa dam șansă și fetelor sa ia parte la acest turneu (avem nevoie de cel puțin 4 echipe pentru a forma un campionat feminin separat de cel masculin). Așadar, strânge o echipa de minim 6 jucatori/jucătoare (maxim 9) și nu mai sta pe gânduri! Haideți sa creștem împreuna și mai mare comunitatea UFL din Cluj-Napoca!
