SPEED HIDES THINGS
Today I worked on Skin the Cat on rings.
After years of injuries and compensations in my right shoulder, I’ve come to appreciate this kind of training more and more.
Less speed.
More control.
More awareness.
Because when you slow a movement down, things start to show up:
• mobility restrictions
• compensations
• instability
• lack of coordination
And that’s where the real work begins.
The shoulder doesn’t rely on strength alone.
It depends on how the muscles, scapula, thorax and core work together.
That’s why today I wasn’t trying to train harder.
I was trying to train better.
