A big thank you to everyone who made it to yesterday's walk, it was a stunning low tide morning stroll over Armona Island.

Super calm Atlantic, no waves, really quiet, loved this walk so much I hardly got any pics of you guys, this is only the second time in 6 years where there's no group pic, my apologies 😉

I personally don't think there is anything more peaceful and beautiful than watching the tide go out on an island, where all the little mini island sandbanks pop up all over,

Weekly hike around the beautiful Ria Formosa of the Eastern Algarve.

Group walks are on Tuesdays and an extra Summer Series of early morning walks on Thursdays will he added to the schedule.

Invites are posted a week in advanced and can be found in the events or featured tabs.

A great trek around the Ria Formosa with this fun hunch of lovely people.

I have such a soft spot for Fuseta, its always like its just wakening up. The network of saltpans from Fuseta to Arroteia da Baixo are simply magnificent and were buzzing with life.

There were some really bright pink flamingos and loads of other "budgies" that you would need Rob for if you had wanted them identified yesterday,

Summer is definitely on its way, the heat was chasing us the whole way.

Last of the late walks 2026.

Fantastic group on this wizz around the Ria Firmosa before the heat got us. Starting at Livramento we came through some lanes down past Arroteia de Baixo and down to the estuary of Ribeira Tronco.

Thnx for the great company everyone, it was a lovely morning.

The Summer Series of early morning walks is ready for June and will be a mixture of ferry rides and Formosa crossings by foot,

This week's walk was one if 2 halves. Firstly we had a brisk lane trek through the back lanes of Tavira towards Pedras del Rei then over the Ria Formosa to Tavira Island for our second half of the walk which was a glorious 5km shore walk with an extremely calm Atlantic to our right the whole way.

A big thank you to all who joined and a warm enthusiastic welcome to our new members.
