I’ve owned my 450MT for nearly two years and have been one of its early promoters, sharing adventures and inspiring other riders to buy one.
But I also feel responsible for sharing the other side of the story.
This video was recorded on the July 25, and I have waiting for it to be fixed ever since…. The problem was a broken flywheel. Due to holidays the dealership only managed to check the bike after holidays and the warranty replacement part was only ordered in the first week of September, almost two months ago.
Almost three months after my bike broke, I’m still without my motorcycle. No parts delivery date. No repair estimate. No answers.
I contacted , initially at the dealership’s request, and was told to contact the dealership. I then sent a formal complaint requesting an explanation for the excessive delay, but haven’t received any response yet.
This is the third time I’ve experienced extremely long delays waiting for CFMOTO replacement parts. On my two years of owning the bike I estimate about 20% of the time was waiting on parts.
Mechanical problems happen. But months without a motorcycle, clear communication, or an alternative solution?
I still love the 450MT, but a great motorcycle needs equally great after-sales support.
I’ve been patient, but patience has its limits.
Have other CFMOTO owners experienced similar problems? Share your experiences in the comments, and please share this with fellow riders.
I have lost my whole summer with the bike, many events and opportunities due to this, and at this stage, although I really love this machine, I have to consider selling it as I it doesn’t make sense to have a machine with this lack of support.
Follow along to see how this story ends.
