🇧🇬 Transnational Training in Smolyan, Bulgaria – A Shared Learning Experience

The ongoing training in Smolyan, hosted by our partner Ecoworld Rhodopes, is offering participants a truly meaningful opportunity to connect, reflect and grow through non-formal education.

Over the past days, young participants from , , and have taken part in interactive sessions, cultural activities and environmental learning experiences in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains.

💬 The energy is high, and the enthusiasm of the participants reflects the quality of the work done by all partner organisations, a strong and committed team that continues to deliver concrete results.

A sincere thank you to Ecoworld Rhodopes for the warm hospitality, excellent coordination and inspiring environment.

Together, we are building pathways for youth engagement, functional literacy and international cooperation.

🎬 The final day of the NONFORMAL Training in Poronin

And just like that, our week in Poland has come to a close! The last day of the international training was filled with creativity, reflection and meaningful closure.

♻️ Participants took part in upcycling workshops, turning everyday materials into beautiful handmade lanterns.

📸 The Photo Contest winners were announced, showcasing how each team captured the essence of environmental learning.

🎓 We concluded with the Youthpass ceremony and a joint evaluation, recognising everyone's commitment and learning throughout the project.

📖 Final touches were added to the Project Booklet, collecting shared experiences and results.

🌍 The day closed with a final eco-workshop and dissemination planning to ensure the project’s message continues to spread.

🌱 Learning through nature, connecting through education!

Today’s activities in Poronin brought the focus of the NONFORMAL training to green jobs and the role of youth in building a sustainable future.

Participants explored eco-career paths in each partner country:
🇵🇱 Agri-Tech Entrepreneur
🇲🇹 Sustainable Tourism Developer
🇧🇬 Renewable Energy Technician
🇹🇷 Eco-Friendly Textile Innovator

🎭 The group also joined in an interactive eco-charades activity before heading to Zakopane for a study visit at the Nature Education Center, combining environmental learning with outdoor exploration.

📸 Photos were taken for the ongoing Eco Photo Contest, followed by daily reflections and a leaders' meeting.

As part of the NONFORMAL training in Poland, partners gathered for an Intercultural Evening – a colourful celebration of the diversity and richness of our shared European identity.

🇲🇹 , 🇵🇱 , 🇹🇷 , and 🇧🇬 each presented their culture, traditions, and cuisine through engaging presentations, music and dance. From Mediterranean history to folklore, from East to West – every team brought something unique.

🎶 It was a memorable moment of connection, learning and mutual appreciation – perfectly aligned with the spirit of Erasmus+ and non-formal education.

A special thanks to Fundacja Centrum Kreatywnych Inicjatyw Edukacyjnych for hosting this moment of exchange!

The NONFORMAL project is live from Poronin, Poland! 🇵🇱⛰️

We’re glad to join our Polish partner Fundacja Centrum Kreatywnych Inicjatyw Edukacyjnych in kicking off this transnational training focused on environmental education and green employment.

📸 Day 1 was full of energy, learning and intercultural exchange — a great start to a week of collaboration and shared commitment to sustainability in youth work.

Last day of NONFORMAL Transnational Training in Malta (Thursday 22nd May)

The last day of training was dedicated to reflection, exchange and cultural connection.

🏛️ In the morning, participants visited the University of Malta, where Dr. Mario Cassar, Deputy Director of Marketing, Communications and Alumni, welcomed the group and introduced the role of the university in supporting youth engagement and international cooperation. Afterwards, student ambassador Nicole led the group on a tour of some of the university campus locations.

🧠 This was followed by a short brainstorming session at the training centre, encouraging participants to share insights and ideas that had emerged during the week.

🌐 In the afternoon, the international session “Voices from the World” was held, led by Laura Sue Armeni, which celebrated linguistic and cultural diversity through interactive activities and group dialogue.

We thank all the speakers, partners and participants for their contribution to this meaningful week in Malta.

Day 3 Recap – NONFORMAL Transnational Training in Malta (Wednesday, 21 May)

On Wednesday, the third day of training focused on youth participation, identity, and activism.

🧭 In the morning, Michela Debono and Simon Schembri from Aġenzija Żgħażagħ led a session on Language, Identity & Youth Engagement, highlighting how language and cultural context influence young people's sense of belonging and civic involvement.

🎓 In the afternoon, we welcomed Louisa Buhagiar, Jan Proschek, and Bianca Pace from KSU - Kunsill Studenti Universitarji for an engaging session titled Youth Activism – How to Stop the Decline. Their reflections sparked important discussions on challenges and opportunities for youth participation in public life.

We thank all contributors for their valuable input and commitment to empowering youth through education and dialogue.

Highlights from Day 2 of the NONFORMAL Transnational Training in Malta

Yesterday’s programme began with Nature speaks Maltese — a visit to BirdLife Malta, where participants explored the connection between biodiversity and language in the Maltese context.

A sincere thank you to Mark Gauci and the entire BirdLife Malta team for the warm welcome and guided experience, which offered a meaningful perspective on how nature can support educational narratives.

💻 In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Digital tools for dialogue and collaboration. We thank Amanda Parnis for delivering an engaging and practical session, marked by clarity and professionalism.

The NONFORMAL training continues to provide opportunities for reflection, exchange, and collaboration across partner countries.

NON-formal training in Malta has officially begun!

Yesterday started a new chapter of our transnational journey, hosted by the Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and TradeMediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade and Trade in the heart of the Mediterranean.

📍 Morning session: We started with the Designing Dialogue, a dynamic international activity at the Valletta Design Cluster, followed by a collaborative brainstorming session at our training centre.
A warm welcome also to the Bulgarian participants, who joined us during the morning. We would like to thank Francesca Cassar, Community and Projects Executive of Valletta Design Cluster.

📚 Afternoon session: The training continues with Roots and Reflections, an engaging exploration of Maltese language and culture led by Jean Paul from Inizjamed.

🍽️ The day ends with a shared dinner, where participants from all partner countries gather to reconnect and exchange experiences.

We are looking forward to a week of learning, exchange and collaboration!

After completing the NONFORMAL Training in Türkiye, it’s time for all participants to return home.

A special thank you to all partners and participants for the collaboration, commitment, and positive spirit shown during these days.
