🏁 ROK CUP POLAND – BIŁGORAJ | A WEEKEND OF LESSONS, PROGRESS & A BREAKTHROUGH 🇵🇱
Another ROK Cup Poland weekend completed for SBRacing, and Biłgoraj gave us just about everything — strong pace, frustration, important lessons, and one very special breakthrough.
🔴 BABY ROK – Igi Zaleski | Czarek Buga | Antony Reay
Throughout practice, things genuinely couldn’t have gone much better.
We hit a strong setup early and, more importantly, managed to follow the evolving track conditions extremely well. As the grip came up, we kept the karts in the window, with our drivers regularly producing top-five pace.
Unfortunately, when it mattered in qualifying, we got it wrong.
We went the wrong direction with tyre pressures and also released our drivers into clear air with nobody ahead to chase or work towards. These were mistakes from our side as a team — including decisions made within our fathers/mechanics group — and ultimately we didn’t give Igi, Czarek and Antony the platform their practice pace deserved.
From there, the weekend became difficult. Time penalties and racing incidents compounded the situation, and the results simply didn’t reflect the speed we had shown beforehand.
But this is motorsport.
This is our first season, and building a competitive race team means learning from the difficult weekends just as much as celebrating the good ones. We take responsibility, analyse what happened, improve our procedures and move forward.
Biłgoraj is now behind us. Our Baby ROK focus turns completely to the final round at Zielona Góra. 🎯
🔵 POKAZE – Wiktor Knyszewski
Another positive weekend of development for Wiktor.
His outright pace continues to improve and we can see clear progress behind the wheel. We have also identified the next major area to work on — overtaking, racecraft and making decisive moves in traffic.
That’s exactly what Pokaze is for: developing the complete driver, step by step.
🌟 THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEKEND – OLIWIA SUŁKOWSKA
And then came the biggest positive of our entire weekend.
Something has clicked for Oliwia.
She ran essentially the same setup she has been using throughout the season, but suddenly we saw a completely different level of confidence and understanding from behind the wheel.
The result?
🏆 A CLEAN SWEEP — OLIWIA WON EVERY ONE OF HER RACES.
And importantly, these weren’t simply wins from the front.
She was able to come through from the back and win.
But for us, the biggest achievement wasn’t the trophies or results. It was how she was driving.
Her apex accuracy has improved dramatically.
Her vision is now looking much further through the corner.
She’s recognising and catching slides naturally.
Her confidence with the kart underneath her has taken a huge step.
Even her body language inside the kart has changed.
Those are the signs we have been waiting to see.
There is still plenty of work ahead before Oliwia is ready to make the transition into the Baby ROK main events, and we won’t rush that process. But ultimately, that is the goal — and Biłgoraj represented a major step towards it.
👏 Huge congratulations, Oliwia. A very, very well-deserved weekend.
We leave Biłgoraj with mixed emotions, but also with more knowledge, stronger drivers and another weekend of experience behind our young team.
We learn. We improve. We move forward.
