Lubartów jest kojarzony przede wszystkim z taekwon-do ITF, tenisem stołowym i piłką nożną. To właśnie te dyscypliny dały miastu zawodników i zespoły rozpoznawalne nie tylko w Polsce, lecz także na arenie międzynarodowej.
🩵 Taekwon-do ITF — najmocniejsza marka 🩵
Największą sportową wizytówką Lubartowa jest sekcja taekwon-do MKS Lewart AGS Lubartów. Zawodnicy klubu od 1992 roku zdobywali medale mistrzostw Polski, Europy i świata, dzięki czemu stali się — jak podkreśla miasto — ambasadorami Lubartowa w kraju i za granicą.
Z Lubartowem związani są m.in.: Jarosław Suska, Mariusz Suska, Marcin Głos, Aneta Kołodziej-Klepacz, Miłosz Moskaluk, Anita Pasek, Marek Rafał, Mariusz Szczygielski, Mariusz Wałach, Michał Dziubicki.
Szczególną postacią jest Jerzy Jedut, twórca sukcesów lubartowskiego taekwon-do, który pięciokrotnie otrzymał doroczną Państwową Nagrodę I Stopnia Prezesa Urzędu Kultury Fizycznej i Turystyki.

Jurek: JEDUT: Od niemal 44 lat uczymy Taekwon-Do w Lubartowie. Mamy ogromne sukcesy w sporcie i edukacji. Doceniają nas na całym świecie, od Nowej Zelandii po Argentynę.

We did not come to Firlej merely to train.
We came to work.
To learn.
To challenge ourselves.
To give everything we had.
And you did.
Across 12 training sessions, 6 masterclasses, and countless hours of daily consultations, you brought your energy, your discipline, your questions, and your trust.
You brought your whole heart.
Confucius taught that sincerity is the beginning and the end of all things. And in Firlej, sincerity was not just spoken. It was practised. It was felt. It was present in every technique, every question, every correction, and every bow.

Grandmaster Jurek Jedut thanks you—deeply and sincerely.
But knowing him, he would not speak first about what he gave. He would speak about what he received. He would say that it was his honour to learn with you, to teach with you, and to share this journey with you.
And he would mean every word.
For this is the humility of a true master. He does not stand above others. He stands among them. He does not claim to know everything. He remains ready to listen, to understand, and to learn.
This is not modesty for the sake of appearance.
This is character.
This is Taekwon-Do.
This is Grandmaster Jurek Jedut.
So let us remember Firlej—not simply as a place where we trained, but as a place where we gave our best.
We trained together.
We learned together.
We respected one another.
And together, we made each other stronger.
The sessions are over.
The masterclasses are complete.
The hours on the dojang have passed.
But what we built remains.
The knowledge remains.
The respect remains.

Suspended from the wall bars, the athlete must stabilize the shoulders, core, and grip while keeping the legs elevated. Alternating kicks underneath the target demand explosive hip flexion, strong quads, abdominal control, coordination, and precise timing.
