The Minhas Annual Football Tournament 2025 kicked off in spectacular fashion with a pulsating exhibition match between Wah Veterans FC and Rawalpindi Veterans FC. Football fans were treated to a masterclass as both sides showcased skill, passion, and sportsmanship on the opening day.
Wah Veterans drew first blood, igniting the crowd with a beautifully crafted opening goal. But the star-studded Rawalpindi Veterans, boasting legendary ex-national players and icons from WAPDA, Navy, 502 Workshop, and other top departments, responded like true champions. With precision passing and clinical finishing, they netted two superb goals to secure a memorable 2-1 comeback victory.
The match was graced by the presence of Mr. Malik Zahid Awan (General Secretary Youth JI, PP-13), who lauded the efforts of Minhas FC and Wah & Taxila Football Players Association for promoting football in the region. Mr. Shahzad Iqbal, President of Minhas FC, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and thanked the local football community for their unwavering support.
It was a perfect start to what promises to be a thrilling tournament, setting the stage for more action-packed encounters ahead!

منہاس سالانہ فٹبال ٹورنامنٹ 2025 کا آغاز شاندار انداز میں ہوا، جہاں افتتاحی دن واہ ویٹرنز ایف سی اور راولپنڈی ویٹرنز ایف سی کے درمیان ایک زبردست نمائشی میچ کھیلا گیا۔ شائقین فٹبال کو مہارت، جوش اور کھیل کی روح کا شاندار مظاہرہ دیکھنے کو ملا۔
واہ ویٹرنز نے پہلا گول کر کے میدان میں جوش و خروش پیدا کیا اور شائقین کو خوش کر دیا۔ مگر اسٹار کھلاڑیوں سے سجی ہوئی راولپنڈی ویٹرنز ٹیم، جس میں سابق قومی کھلاڑی اور واپڈا، نیوی، 502 ورکشاپ اور دیگر نامور ڈیپارٹمنٹس کے شہرت یافتہ نامور کھلاڑی شامل تھے، نے شاندار انداز میں واپسی کی۔ عمدہ پاسنگ اور بہترین فنشنگ کے ساتھ انہوں نے دو شاندار گول کر کے 2-1 کی یادگار فتح حاصل کی۔
میچ کو جناب ملک زاہد اعوان (جنرل سیکریٹری یوتھ جماعت اسلامی، پی پی 13) کی موجودگی کا اعزاز حاصل رہا۔ انہوں نے منہاس ایف سی اور واہ اور ٹیکسلا فٹبال پلیئرز ایسوسی ایشن کی خطے میں فٹبال کے فروغ کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔ جناب شہزاد اقبال (صدر منہاس ایف سی) نے معزز مہمانوں اور مقامی فٹبال کمیونٹی کا پرتپاک خیرمقدم کیا اور ان کی حمایت کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
