PLTA (Punjab Lawn Tennis Association) with vision of CM Mian Shabaz Sharif to hunt talent at grass root levels and as well enhance competivness Team Spirit devolop continued Interest of children in the game is pleased to announce 10&under Inter School Mini TeamTennis following model of US Team Tennis play format which is being practiced at their high schools and Inter collegiate sports circulam producing world class athletes from various sports The format will enhance Sportsmanship Team Spirit leadership while progressing in academics . The program will be initially for 10&under Mini Tennis (Grade 5) and will be extended to Junior levels by following US model Year round Regional Inter School competitions will be held with Year end play offs Several hundred Tennis players in past three decades from Pakistan who had attained National Junior and National Men ranking have after A levels availed 4 Years full undergraduate Athletic and educational Scholarships in USA and earned degrees .PLTA Tennis Legend and World Class player Haroon Rahim played for UCLA with Jimmy Connors and current top Davis Cup players Mohd Abid Akbar and Samir Iftikhar and current top ranked ladies player Sara Mehbob are former US University graduates and now playing professional circuit

PLTA in this regard is holding for the first time Invitational Inter School Team Competition on Sunday16th April at Sheryar Malik Memorial National grass Court Tennis champion ship being held at PLTA Tennis Center from 13th April to 19th April . Schools from SSS Salamat School System Aithison beaconhouse Lahore grammar Roots are invited to support our Program and Send their Teams irrespective of experience .
