Meet Siddique Sheikh Sahab, an 83-year-old entrepreneur, philanthropist, and institution builder whose life exemplifies purpose, humility, and service.
As the founder of Powerplus and PakGhiza, he built successful businesses that impacted millions.
Beyond business, he has played a significant role in the development of institutions such as Indus Hospital, SIUT, LRBT, Jamiat Taleem-ul-Quran, The Education Foundation, The Ilm Foundation, and many others.
During one of our conversations, I told him, “I don't feel motivated to earn more. Compared to my childhood, I already have more than I ever imagined.”
He replied, “You don't earn for yourself; you earn for others.”
He then pointed toward his dining table and shared that his late father had purchased it 67 years ago for just PKR 1,000. Despite having the means to replace it many times over, he never did—because it was still functional.
That moment captured his philosophy perfectly.
Business is not about luxury. It is about creating jobs, improving productivity, building institutions, and serving society.
In a world obsessed with displaying wealth, Siddique Sahab reminds us that true success is measured by the value we create for others.
Many such timeless lessons are captured in my book.
