Pakistan Shines at World Pickleball Cup 2026 with Double Medal Triumph in Vietnam
DA NANG, VIETNAM — The Pakistan Pickleball contingent has kicked off its campaign at the World Pickleball Cup 2026 in dominant fashion, securing two international medals—including a historic gold—in Da Nang, Vietnam.
The tournament, taking place from August 30 to September 6, marks the first time Asia is hosting the prestigious global event, drawing roughly 5,000 athletes from 81 countries and regions.
Key Achievements
* Gold Medal (Men’s Singles 30+, 3.5+ Category): Zain Naseem delivered a masterclass performance to claim the gold medal. In a gripping road to victory, Zain bested Indian contenders back-to-back in both the semi-final and final rounds to secure the top spot on the podium.
* Bronze Medal (Men’s Doubles 30+, 4.0+ Category): Pakistan doubled its medal haul with a bronze finish, courtesy of the dynamic duo Zain Naseem and Malik Ali Haider, who fought through a competitive bracket to secure a podium finish.
Pakistan has fielded an 18-member squad across multiple team and individual events at the tournament, already making an indelible mark on the international circuit.
This double medal victory marks a massive milestone for Pakistan Pickleball, elevating the national flag on the world stage and highlighting the rapidly rising talent within the country’s racquet sports arena.
