Match Report:

Burhani Warriors won the toss and chose to field first in the qualifier 1 match of the Golden Crops SBPL Season 5 held at the Annu Bhai Cricket Ground, Karachi on March 7, 2023. The decision proved fruitful as they restricted their opponents to a low total of 69 runs in 17.2 overs.

Haider Qutbuddin was the first to fall as he was dismissed lbw by Huzefa Mustansir for just 4 runs. Abbas Mohammadi scored 10 runs off 25 balls before being caught by Hatim Aftab off the bowling of Ibrahim Shani. The skipper, Ammar Mohammad, managed only 6 runs before getting run out by a combined effort of Murtaza Kapasi and Mustansir Saifuddin.

Aamir Hussain was the star bowler for the Burhani Warriors as he took 4 wickets in his 4 overs, conceding only 15 runs. Huzefa Mustansir and Ibrahim Shani also chipped in with 2 wickets each.

In reply, Burhani Warriors chased down the target with ease in just 6.5 overs, losing only 1 wicket in the process. Abid Ali was the first to go after scoring 22 runs off 15 balls, being caught by Mufaddal Adeeb off the bowling of Abbas Mohammadi.

However, Mustansir Saifuddin remained unbeaten at the crease, smashing 42 runs off just 20 balls, which included 4 fours and 3 sixes, and was ably supported by Murtaza Kapasi, who scored 4 runs off 6 balls to seal a comfortable victory for the Burhani Warriors.

Aamir Hussain, who took 4 wickets for 15 runs in his 4 overs, was named the Man of the Match for his impressive bowling performance.

Overall, it was a dominant display by the Burhani Warriors, who secured a convincing 9-wicket victory over their opponents.
