Finally the curse is lifted, after ages of mishaps, Assassins have finally browbeaten their arch rivals, The Garrison. When it comes to Assassins, logic, stats, facts and figure are thrown out of the window and anything can happen on the given time. Last night it was one of those fickle ones.
Garrison broke the ice as Mamoo fired one past the keeper. Assassins equalized through a trade mark one two between Ali and Uzair. Then it became a jumpy ride, Garrison scored one or two, Assassins narrowed the lead by scoring close behind.
It was until the late phase, when Assassin's plan kicked in, they turned the tables on Garrison, as they were not satisfied with their lead and were eager for more. Garrison dominated the game, but Assassin's interceptions and sharp counter attacks left them shell shocked.
From there on it was Raja( Garrison Keeper ) and our strikers, who had no difficulty in outnumbering the opponent's defense adequately. Ali's back-heel was magical on the night as after months he was benefiting from his form. He scored 3. Satti was deadly on the counter attacks, the forward also managed 3 goals. Uzair, The Fighter was remarkable on the night and managed to get his name on score-sheet. He also set up some wonderful lay offs for his teammates.
Pato was the man to watch on the night as he went twisting and turning past Garrison defense to score a brace. Asad set up 1 and scored 1. Ahmed is making a name for himself as he drilled 2 past the Garrison Keeper. Sherry was quick on the counterattacks but out of his numerous attempts, none ended in a goal.
Aftab came in midway through the match and started off with his touch and go passes, he was good as he passed the ball around, without attracting any unnecessary attention. Aarib is doing well to find his feet in this battle of giants. He was fine on the night and had the opportunities to end up on score-sheet.
The keeper Mubashar is an veteran player and is playing as one. But he needs some time to adjust into the fast paced futsal. Except a few mishaps from keeper (Mubashar) and defenders, everything was very much up to the mark.
