A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Mindanao region this morning, centered off the shores of Sarangani province. Serious structural damages have been reported in General Santos City and other neighboring areas, with active tsunami warnings currently forcing immediate evacuations in coastal areas.

Let us pray for divine protection over all families navigating this disaster and for safe evacuations as people move away from coastal danger zones. Please also pray for endurance and wisdom for first responders and local emergency teams, and that God grants peace and calm to replace fear amidst the ongoing aftershocks.

ZSCMST NOTICIAS| WORK SUSPENSION

In view of the recent earthquakes, work is hereby suspended until further notice. The safety and well-being of students and employees remain the College’s paramount concern.

The Planning, Development, Monitoring and Evaluation Office (PDMEO) and the College General Services Office (CGSO) are hereby directed to conduct an immediate assessment of all buildings and facilities within the ZSCMST campus to determine their structural integrity and ensure that they are safe for occupancy.

Further advisories regarding the resumption of work will be issued after the completion of the necessary inspections and assessments.

Please stay alert and follow official safety advisories at all times.
