My tournament schedule for the rest of 2026 🎱

I’ve decided to sit out this year’s China Open in Shanghai and take a little more time away.

There have been a lot of big changes in my life recently, and I’m still taking my time to learn how to accept and navigate them. For now, I’m choosing to take things slowly, give myself the time and space I need.

I’m incredibly grateful for the enormous amount of love and support you’ve all given me, especially throughout the recent World 8-Ball and World 10-Ball Championships. Your messages, encouragement, and cheers have meant more to me than you know 💛

I’ll see you in Vietnam for the Mixed Doubles with Champ Jayson Shaw, followed by the Saigon 9-Ball Open, and then the World 9-Ball Championship in Bali 🇻🇳🇮🇩 🙏🏻

Like this post and join us in celebrating Cuetec’s own Francisco Sanchez Ruiz on his down to the wire victory at the 2026 US Open Pool Championship.

Held for the first time in Frisco, Texas, the latest installment of the US Open brought together a 256-player field to compete for quite possibly the sport’s most coveted title. Four years on from capturing his first US Open crown, “El Ferrari” would persevere and fight his way back into the famed green jacket.

Facing Robbie Capito in a fiercely contested final, FSR found himself trailing 12–10, with his opponent just one rack from victory. With no margin for error, Francisco kept his composure and his belief, winning the final three racks to secure a dramatic 13–12 victory and his second US Open title.

With the win, Francisco becomes just the tenth player in the tournament’s history to claim multiple US Open titles and climbs to No. 3 in the World Rankings.

Francisco, what a fight! From finding your rhythm through a challenging week to fighting for every opportunity in the final, you gave us so much to be proud of. The emotion when that last ball dropped said it all. Thank you for the heart, determination, and passion you bring to this game and to the Cuetec family.

Like this post and join us in congratulating Cuetec’s own Shane Van Boening on winning the 2026 Matchroom Pool Florida Open Pool Championship.

Held August 4–9 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, the second edition of the Florida Open featured a $225,000 prize fund, with SVB taking home $40,000 for the title.

After reaching the final last year before falling short, SVB returned to Orlando and finished the job this time around, going undefeated and defeating five former World Champions along the way to this title.

With a victory like this to kick off a packed August of major WNT events, SVB is heating up the race for Team USA for the Mosconi Cup by reclaiming the pole position.

Congratulations, Shane and enjoy this moment! It’s always exciting for us to see you win another major title and look in top form to chase that 6th US Open title the end of the month!

As an athlete myself representing the Philippine Team, this is one of the hard realities many athletes face. While I haven’t personally experienced everything others have, I have felt the lack of support.

I hope our government will support all athletes with the same pride, passion, and determination that we bring every time we wear the Philippine colors and carry our flag, regardless of how much public attention we receive. Every athlete who dedicates themselves to representing the Philippines deserves that support.

I’m talking about support not just financially, but also emotionally, physically, and mentally. Representing the Philippines is an honor, but that honor shouldn’t come at the expense of the very athletes who dedicate their lives to bringing pride to our country.

She was the top Filipino fencer in the world. Then she got dropped from the national team without even being told.

After tearing her ACL competing for the Philippines, Maxine Esteban was quietly removed from the roster while recovering, despite being formally excused by her own federation.

"Napakasakit po. Sobra akong nabastos," she said. It really hurt. I got really offended.

She switched allegiance to Cote d'Ivoire and qualified for the Paris Olympics anyway, just not under the flag she'd fought years to wear.

Where athletes are people.

🥈 for the 2026 World-10 Ball Championship.

I'm proud of how hard I worked to reach the finals, even though the ending wasn't what I had hoped for. I'm allowing myself to be proud of that, and I'm also choosing to give myself the same grace I would give any other athlete who gave everything they had.

After seeing how widespread these accusations became, I felt this was something I had to address just this once

I understand why some people are disappointed with the outcome, but everyone has off matches. I've seen the match-fixing accusations circulating in some Filipino comment sections, and while I know they don't represent everyone, those claims are simply not true. Miscues and mistakes happen, even at the highest level. That's the reality of sports.

I stepped to the table with one goal: to defend my title. Unfortunately, things didn't go my way, and my mistakes cost me the match. That's part of competition, no matter how difficult it is to accept.

That said, I'll move forward, just as I always have.

Most importantly, Margarita played a great match, earned the championship, and deserves every bit of the credit.

Rome bound for the World 10-Ball Championship and Mixed Doubles with Ate Champ, Rubilen "Bingkay" Amit! 🙏🏻🇮🇹 Just walking around and exploring the streets today.

First thing I noticed: their fruits and vegetables are HUGE! 😳🧅 The watermelons and onions here are on another level 😆 And apparently, strolling around Rome counts as cardio because I’m already sweating buckets!😂

Now I need food recommendations. What are the must-try dishes here? 🍕😁
