Jeralyn Rodriguez, a proud native of Bagamanoc, Catanduanes, has brought honor to his province and the entire Philippines after winning the gold medal in the women’s 400-meter event at the Malaysia Open Athletics Championships.

The 18-year-old athlete dominated his first-ever international competition, setting a new record with a remarkable time of 56.14 seconds. This impressive performance not only secured him the top spot on the podium but also surpassed his previous personal best of 56.16 seconds.

Rodriguez's stunning victory serves as a beacon of inspiration, proving that talent from the provinces can shine brightly on the global stage. His achievement is a source of immense pride for the people of Catanduanes, showcasing the potential of Bicolano athletes.
