HOOP x BALL SUMMER BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2026 crowned its very first champion after the HOOPERS defeated UBC in the Finals, winning the Best-of-Three championship series.

The championship became controversial due to the enforcement of one of the league's official House Rules, which states: "NO PROPER JERSEY, NO GAME" Policy. The issue sparked discussions among players and fans regarding the rule's implementation during the Finals.

Despite the controversy, the league management addressed the matter and clarified that the violation fell under the existing House Rules that had been presented to all participating teams before the tournament. After the clarification, the decision was accepted, and the HOOPERS were officially recognized as the inaugural champions of the HOOP BALL SUMMER BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2026.
