As part of the ZCDAA - ZHCC project "Eleva el Juego del Chess na Division de Ciudad de Zamboanga," we continue the legacy of FA Carlos Florendo in search of the next Zamboangueño Grandmaster!

When: Friday, May 15, 2026 | 8:00 AM
Where: Covered Court, Tugbungan Elementary School, Brgy. Tugbungan, Zamboanga City
Format: 7-Round Swiss System (Rapid Open)
Time Control: 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment

We have major cash prizes for both Open and Junior (U18) categories, plus special awards for top local players and top lady performers! (See poster for the full breakdown).

Discounted (Students U18, PWDs, Seniors, Ladies): Php 100.00

Tugbungan Residents: FREE!

No Summer Learn To Play A Sports Chess tomorrow at Labuan Barangay Hall due to the Opening program of the 28th Summer Sports Program that will be held at Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex on 3:00 PM.
Classes will resume by April 28, 2026 (Tuesday)
