Grateful beyond words. 🙏🏻

Thank You, God, for the strength You carried me with through the heat of the run course. It wasn’t easy, but every step reminded me of Your grace.

So thankful as well for the team tents, those moments of cold water, ice, and a quick cool-down meant more than words can say. And to everyone who cheered along the course, your energy truly lifted me the most.

I’m grateful that the work I put in during my marathon training stayed with me, I had something left in the tank, and it carried me all the way to the finish line.

Humbled to have contributed points in my age group for our team. This one is for all of you who supported me every step of the way. 💛

The bike course was tough but it had a story to tell.

At around km 24, I felt my pedals getting heavier, then came the sound… that’s when I realized, flat tire. I kept asking myself why, how? We made sure the bike was race ready. Then I remembered the small details on the course, bits of broken glass, sand, and those subtle uneven lines on the road that you barely notice until they hit you.

Teammates and friends started passing by, and all I could do was smile, say “I’m flat,” and cheer them on go, go, go 😅 In that moment, I honestly thought my race was over.

I tried using CO₂, but it wouldn’t seal no more sealant left. Good thing a marshal came through and called the race mechanic. We switched to an inner tube, and while it took time, I held on to a small hope… maybe I can still finish. Not for the time, but for the team.

Grateful to the race marshals and mechanic who helped me get back on the road.

From there, it was a different kind of battle. The wind picked up, the heat was intense, and even with three bottles, I kept getting thirsty. Every U-turn became a chance to reset, drink, pour water over my head, and keep moving. I just stayed calm and slowly found my rhythm again.

Not the ride I expected, but definitely one that humbled me. Grateful for the experience, the people who helped me, and the chance to keep going.

Don’t rein me in.

Swim report: The current picked up strongly in the last 800m, and despite sighting at every buoy, I could feel myself slowly drifting off course. It was a humbling moment, realizing that no matter how prepared you are, the water always has its own plans. I knew then it would be a long swim, but I chose to stay calm and kept moving forward.

What we’re going through right now may feel heavy, painful, and unfair. But God reminds us that this season is not the end of the story. Every tear, every struggle, every quiet battle is temporary and it’s all leading to something far greater. The glory ahead will outweigh the pain behind. So we don’t lose heart. We endure with hope, trusting that God is working even when we can’t see it yet.

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” 🙏✨
