A lot of people ask us:
“What’s the difference between Yoga and Pilates?”
Honestly? They’re more similar than people think.
Both help you slow down, connect with your body, breathe better, move with intention, and feel stronger mentally and physically. Both can be gentle. Both can challenge you. Both can become part of your lifestyle.
The biggest difference is usually the intention behind the movement.
Yoga often focuses more on flow, flexibility, stillness, and mind-body connection.
Pilates focuses more on controlled movement, alignment, core strength, posture, stability, and functional strength.
But the truth is — neither is “better.”
It depends on what your body needs.
Some people come to Pilates thinking they need abs…
then realize what they actually needed was body awareness, strength, confidence, and a moment to breathe.
And that’s what we want our classes to feel like:
intentional movement that makes you feel good in your own body. To build you the idea that strength can be gentle.
If you’ve been curious to try Pilates but felt intimidated, this is your sign to start. 🤍
