NATIONAL GAMES
โข Conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd)
โข Primarily for athletes representing schools, divisions, and regions
โข Athletes qualify through the DepEd school sports system, including Division and Regional meets
โข Participation is tied to school enrollment and DepEd eligibility rules Under the DepEd sports competition structure, the District, Division, and Regional Meets serve as qualifying stages for the Palarong Pambansa.
Athletes must advance through these levels and qualify at the Regional Meet to represent their region at the National Games.

โข Conducted by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)
โข Designed for young athletes representing cities, municipalities, and provinces

โข Focuses on talent identification, athlete development, and building the next generation of national athletes
โข Provides a pathway for young athletes beyond the traditional school sports system
