As the dust settles on an incredible season, we want to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated team behind the scenes who made this Couples for Christ Basketball League a roaring success.

To all the league officials, referees, coordinators, and volunteers: thank you for your time, your sacrifice, and your commitment to excellence. Running a league requires immense effort, and your flawless organization allowed us to focus on the game we love while building fellowship and community.

🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP: How Team Blue Claims the Title! 🏆

What a way to end the season! In a game defined by explosive starts, grit under pressure, and tactical masterclasses, Team Blue emerged as the champions with a hard-fought 82–71 victory over a resilient Violet Team.

🔥 The "Baby Shaq" Spark
The game began with an absolute statement. Team Blue came out firing, building a massive 16-point blowout lead in the very first quarter. This early dominance was ignited by Niño "Baby Shaq" Jusayan, whose physical presence and initiation set the tone and left the defense scrambling.

📈 The Mid-Game Battle
The Violet Team didn't back down quietly. They mounted a furious comeback, led by aggressive interior plays from Awing and Abellanosa. By the third quarter, the lead had evaporated, and the Violet Team even melted the lead with only 5 points. During this stretch, Team Blue faced a major test of resolve when Ortega had to exit the game early in the fourth quarter due to foul trouble.

🔒 Closing the Door
With the game on the line in the fourth quarter, Team Blue’s veteran composure took over. The defensive strategy shifted to a total lockdown, successfully neutralizing the opposition's young threats like RV Abajon.

⚔️ The Game Changers

Boyet Diapera: The offensive engine of the night, pouring in a staggering 32 points to keep Team Blue ahead when it mattered most.

Badana (The General): In the final minutes, point guard Badana provided the necessary composure to seal the win. Whether it was a surgical pass or a hard drive to the basket, his playmaking forced the defenders to collapse and opened up the floor for the championship-winning run.

FINAL SCORE: 82 – 71

The wait is finally over! After a grueling season of sweat, hustle, and heart-stopping finishes, the CFC Basketball Summer League has reached its peak. We invite everyone to join us tomorrow night for a double-header that promises to be nothing short of legendary!

🏀 CFC BASKETBALL LEAGUE: THE FINAL ROUND ROBIN SHOWDOWN! 🏀

The elimination round is coming to a thrilling conclusion! Join us tomorrow night at the Eagles Gym as we finalize the rankings for our upcoming semi-finals.

While the Top 4 teams are officially locked in, the battle for the #1 seed and final playoff positioning is far from over!

🗓️ GAME SCHEDULE | MAY 5, 2026
📍 Venue: Eagles Gym, Laray, San Roque, Talisay City

⏰ 7:00 PM – Team RED vs. Team ORANGE
The battle for pride! Both teams are looking to finish their season with a strong performance and a victory.

⏰ 8:00 PM – Team GREEN vs. Team VIOLET (MAIN EVENT)
THE FIGHT FOR FIRST! With both teams sitting at 3-1, the winner of this heavyweight matchup officially claims the #1 SEED heading into the playoffs!

📢 IMPORTANT TIE-BREAKER NOTE:
If Team Green wins, it triggers a TRIPLE TIE for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seeds between Violet, Blue, and Pink! Every point will matter as we move toward the quotient system to decide the final brackets.
