To all frustrated students and beginners in Open Play — Find your "Why" and keep swinging! ❤️
Pickleball is a journey, and every journey starts with a question: What is your objective?
🏃♂️ Are you here for the exercise?
☕ Is it purely for recreation and making friends?
🏆 Or are you training to be a competitive athlete?
Knowing your "why" helps you stay patient with yourself!
The Learning Curve is Different for Everyone 📈
We all pick up the paddle with different backgrounds.
⚡️ The Fast-Trackers: Tennis and table tennis players often find the strokes natural.
🏸 The Grinders: Athletes from sports like badminton might struggle because old muscle memory is hard to break!
🌱 The Newcomers: Some are starting their very first sport right here.
Don’t be discouraged if your progress feels slow. Even with a great coach, every body learns at its own pace. The real value isn't just a perfect stroke—it’s enjoying the game, relaxing, and building community. 🤝
A Note to our Experienced Players: 📣
We were all beginners once. I know we all love a "high-quality" game, but please, let’s help our fellow players grow. Playing even one or two games with a beginner makes the pickleball community happier and more inclusive. Let’s share the joy!
A Note to our Beginners in Open Play: 👟
Stay Motivated: If someone isn't ready to play with you yet, don’t be sad. Let it be your motivation to practice harder and come back stronger! 💪
Master the Basics: To help the game flow, try to have a short session with a coach or practice your consistency. Focus on your serves and returns—being able to start the rally makes the game more fun for everyone! 🎯
Let’s appreciate every step of the process and make pickleball the happiest sport on the planet. See you at the kitchen! 🥒🔥
