just an info about the Leyte Gulf Landing:

Today, October 20, 2025, marks the 81st anniversary of the Leyte Gulf Landings,
a pivotal event in World War II that led to the liberation of the Philippines from Japanese occupation.

The commemoration reenacts the historic landing of US General Douglas MacArthur and his staff, accompanied by Philippine President Sergio Osmeña, on Red Beach in Palo, Leyte, on October 20, 1944.

The commemoration serves as a reminder of the importance of peace, unity, and national sovereignty, with officials emphasizing the need for continued solidarity and cooperation among nations.
