𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐊 : Governor Edduba Orders Suspension of Classes and Work in Kalinga tomorrow, September 22

TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Governor James S. Edduba has ordered the suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private schools, as well as work in government offices across the Province of Kalinga tomorrow, September 22, 2025, to ensure the safety and well-being of the people.

The Governor also urged residents to remain vigilant and to assist in promoting public safety as the province braces for possible impacts of the prevailing weather.

In line with the directive, City, Municipal, and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (C/M/BDRRMCs) are tasked to enforce pre-emptive evacuation in low-lying and flood-prone communities, as well as in areas highly susceptible to landslides.

Governor Edduba further emphasized that agencies whose functions involve the delivery of frontline services, basic health and social services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital public services shall continue operations with optimal efficiency to ensure public safety.

While work in government offices will be suspended, private sector employers are strongly encouraged to likewise consider suspending operations in view of the risks.

Authorities assured that continuous monitoring and necessary updates will be provided to keep the public informed.
