Sara, Iloilo โ The Asian Math Science League Inc. (AMSLI) celebrated the success of its Mathematics Enhancement Program (AMEP) enrollees through a culminating activity โ the AMSLI Recognition Program โ held today at Sara National High School.
The event recognized the hard work, dedication, and academic growth of learners who completed this year's challenging mathematics journey, as well as the unwavering support of parents and mentors who played a vital role in the program's success.

In his opening message, Dr. Mark John Belleza, AMSLI Northern Iloilo Coordinator, warmly welcomed the parents and AMEP enrollees to this year's program.
He recognized the crucial role that both parents and mentors play in the success of the enhancement program, noting that the journey through mathematics is never walked alone.

Dr. Kim Arcena commended the parents for investing in their children's mathematical learning through the AMEP sessions, emphasizing that the lessons go beyond formal classroom instruction.
"With the result of our Mathematics assessment, we value the vital role of AMSLI in attaining the proficiency of learners in mathematics in the Schools Division of Iloilo," Dr. Arcena stated.
He further acknowledged the role of parents in investing in this initiative, adding that the learnings gained from the program will be applied when learners enter college or eventually join the workforce.
"The mathematical skills gained through this AMEP are very visible," Dr. Arcena said, urging parents to continue supporting their children's education.

Although unable to attend in person, AMSLI President Rechilda Villame delivered a heartfelt multimedia message expressing her pride in the achievements of the AMEP trainees.
In her message, she extended sincere gratitude to DepEd officials, school administrators, teachers, parents, and AMSLI colleagues for their continued support and guidance.
"To the school officials and teachers, thank you for your support and your tireless efforts in nurturing and guiding these learners," Villame said.
"To the parents, we sincerely appreciate your trust and support in partnering with us in shaping the future of your children. Your involvement plays a vital role in their growth and achievement."
She also acknowledged the dedication of AMSLI mentors and specifically praised Center Coordinator Sir Mark John Belleza for his commitment, leadership, patience, and dedication in ensuring the success of AMSLI's programs in both Sara and Estancia areas.
Addressing the AMEP trainees, Villame said, "You are the heart of this gathering. Your willingness and determination to learn motivate us to continue creating meaningful and impactful programs."
She also extended heartfelt thanks to Sara National High School and Estancia Elementary School for graciously hosting the onsite training sessions.

The recognition program honored the achievers of this year's AMEP, including learners who qualified for international competitions. Special recognition was given to:
โขAchievers โ for performing exceptionally well and ranking at the top of their batch
โขDistinction Awardees โ for demonstrating outstanding competence and excellence
โขPerfect Attendance Awardees โ for their discipline and consistency
โขCompleters and Participants โ whose efforts and willingness to learn made the journey meaningful and successful
"Each of you has contributed to the spirit of this program," Villame emphasized. "Today, we celebrate not only your accomplishments but also your growth, determination, and passion for learning. We are truly proud of you."
Learners who attended at least five sessions received a Certificate of Participation, while those who attended at least seven sessions were given a Certificate of Completion.

During the AMEP sessions, students also participated in Glocal International contests, including BEBRAS and the World Math Invitation.
Learners who excelled in these competitions were recognized through medals and certificates.
ASMOPSS Scholarship and International Competition Opportunities
President Villame also announced the continuation of the ASMOPSS Scholarship Program, which provides selected students and their coaches the opportunity to participate in international competitions abroad, fully funded by AMS.
"All of you are qualified to join the Qualifying Round for this scholarship," she told the AMEP trainees.
She further invited qualified participants to take part in upcoming international competitions, including:
โข Math Without Borders 2026 โ June 4โ7 in Nessebar, Bulgaria
โข Factorial Math Finals (math contest and camp) โ July 5โ9 in Jakarta, Indonesia
โข SIMOC โ July 18โ22 in Singapore
โข WMTC โ November in Bangkok, Thailand
โข ASMOPSS โ November in Java, Indonesia
โข STEAM AHEAD (including IJMO, IJSO, and IJIO) โ December
To support and prepare students who will be part of the Philippine Team for these international contests, Villame announced that AMSLI will conduct special training sessions, including the SUMMIT: The Summer Math Excellence Bootcamp (Summer Math Mastery and Intensive Training).

In her closing message, Mrs. Rechelle A. Opriasa emphasized that the success of the recognition program would not have been possible without the full support of the mentors, the AMSLI family, parents, and the AMEP enrollees themselves.
"This recognition program will not become successful without the full support of mentors, AMSLI family, parents, and AMEP enrollees," she said.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to continue nurturing young learners in the field of mathematics, preparing them for both local and international academic challenges.
