CONGRATULATIONS, SFDA! 🥏🔥

Under the heat of Koronadal skies and the pressure of high-stakes matchups, the Samal Flying Disc Association-SFDA carved out a statement finish—Pool A Second Runner-Up in MNPL Ultimate War Season 1 at the South Cotabato Sports Complex last April 11-12, 2026.

This was not just a campaign.
It was a test of identity.

SFDA opened with a commanding presence in the elimination round, stringing together crucial wins that secured a Top 6 overall standing—setting the tone for a team that refused to be overlooked.

In the pre-quarterfinals, they faced M&M, a Davao side stacked with experience and firepower. It was a game of runs, of discipline, of nerves. SFDA struck first, dictated the tempo, and held their line. When the moment demanded it—a defensive stop turned into a clinical conversion—pushing them ahead by two and sealing a hard-earned quarterfinal berth. Tight. Tactical. Earned.

The quarterfinals against Sweet Potato was a war of endurance. Every cut contested. Every throw calculated. Defense met offense in a chess match played at full speed. SFDA answered with depth—rotations that kept legs fresh and minds sharp. It was strength, stamina, and composure that carried them through—one point at a time—into the semifinals.

Then came the collision with giants.

Team UGR of Iligan—undefeated, unshaken. For SFDA, it was more than a game; it was an opportunity to measure themselves against the standard. Though the finals slipped away, what they gained was far greater: experience, humility, and the fire to rise again stronger.

And then—one last fight.

A bronze medal showdown against M’lang Ultimate. A rematch. A reckoning.

The wind howled unpredictably, turning every possession into a gamble. M’lang capitalized early, converting two breaks off SFDA’s offense. But this team does not fold.

Not now. Not ever.

Point by point, SFDA clawed their way back—matching intensity with belief. They tied the game at the brink. Took the lead. Gave it up. No time left on the clock—just one final possession to decide it all.

One disc. One moment.

They trusted the system. Trusted each other.

And they delivered.

A clutch finish. A statement secured. A podium earned.

This was never about luck.
This was built on grit, discipline, sacrifice, and chemistry forged through every cut, every turnover, every comeback.

Because this is SFDA.

The finals are in the books at Banana Republic Ultimate Federation - BRUF Ika-Unom! 🥏🔥

For Pool B, Alpha Ultimate Frisbee Club-AUFC secured the championship with a commanding win over Tribes Of Kaputian Ultimate .

For Pool A, Mlang Ultimate Frisbee Club edged out SSG Things in a nail-biting universal point finish to claim the title. What a way to end the tournament!

WHAT A SAVE! 🥏🔥

An incredible moment on the field as Enggra secures a clutch catch from a drop mail assist by EJ.

The disc nearly got blocked—unintentionally—by both the opponent’s and a teammate’s feet, creating an almost drop moment. But despite the close call, the disc slipped through and still landed perfectly in Enggra’s hands.

A quick reflex play that turned a near miss into a highlight catch.

Sometimes the best plays come from the most unexpected moments. 🥏💨
