Promoting Knights into Titans

A hard-fought battle between the brilliant minds of our players took place at the ACLC Library as they faced off against each other to secure a spot as the next ACLC Chess Titan. July 25–26, 2026.

Over the course of two days, players showcased unwavering commitment, fierce competitiveness, and an undeniable hunger for victory as they traded pieces across the board, displaying exceptional strategic and tactical play.

Though only a few may have earned a place among the Chess Titans, every player's participation still counts as a win, for one can never truly move forward without the courage to take that first step toward making a difference.

The ACLC Knights are truly proud of every player who showed up and competed to become part of the Titans. Some may feel disappointed with the results, but disappointment is only proof that they cared enough to try.

Every match played, every move made, and every risk taken has already made them stronger—win or lose. Through studying openings, middlegames, endgames and through the experience gained along the way, they've grown sharper with every game—just like a bishop patiently waiting on a long diagonal, ready to strike the moment the opportunity opens up.

Congratulations to our new Chess Titans and to every Knight who dared to compete. ⚜️♟️
