PRO3 SWIFTLY ACTS ON VIRAL INCIDENT INVOLVING BULACAN COP; ADMIN, CRIMINAL CHARGES UNDERWAY

In line with the intensified internal cleansing program and the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief, PNP Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) immediately took decisive action following a viral social media post involving a police officer assigned at the Malolos City Police Station in Bulacan.

On May 10, 2026, the Malolos City Police Station promptly identified the cop assigned as Duty Driver of Mobile Patrol 01, after a Facebook post circulated online alleging misconduct. Acting swiftly, the Chief of Police immediately placed the concerned police officer under restrictive custody pending investigation.

Authorities likewise confiscated his issued fi****ms including his PNP Identification Card, to ensure proper control and accountability while the investigation is ongoing. A Station Order was subsequently issued formalizing his restrictive custody status.

Meanwhile, the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), in coordination with the complainant, is currently preparing the appropriate criminal complaints against the respondent. Simultaneously, the endorsement for the filing of corresponding administrative charges is also being processed.

PRO3 Director Jess B Mendez emphasized that the organization remains firm in enforcing discipline and accountability within the police ranks.

“This immediate action reflects our unwavering commitment to the internal cleansing efforts of the Philippine National Police under the leadership of Chief, PNP PGEN Nartatez Jr. We assure the public that appropriate criminal and administrative cases will be pursued against the concerned personnel if warranted by evidence. There is no room in the organization for any act that erodes public trust,” PBGEN Mendez said.

The PRO3 leadership further reiterated that all complaints involving police personnel will continue to be acted upon promptly, fairly, and in accordance with existing laws and PNP regulations as part of the organization’s continuing effort to strengthen integrity, professionalism, and public confidence in the police service.

PNP STATEMENT ON FAIR AND SWIFT ACTION IN MALOLOS INCIDENT

The Philippine National Police is taking the incident involving a police officer in Malolos City with utmost seriousness.

The concerned personnel has already been relieved from post, placed under restrictive custody, and disarmed pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.

Both administrative and criminal proceedings are now being undertaken in coordination with the proper authorities to ensure that all facts are thoroughly established and appropriate actions are carried out in accordance with the law.

The PNP does not tolerate any misconduct that undermines public trust and will ensure that accountability applies to all personnel regardless of rank or position.

At the same time, the PNP appeals to the public to allow the proper legal process to take its course and to refrain from spreading unverified information that may affect the integrity of the investigation.

The Philippine National Police remains committed to professionalism, accountability, and the fair and impartial application of due process.

HVI ARRESTED IN PAMPANGA ; ₱476K WORTH OF SHABU SEIZED

Pampanga operatives arrested a High-Value Individual (HVI) during a buy-bust operation conducted on May 6, 2026, at around 6:00 PM in Purok 7, Brgy. San Pedro Cutud, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The operation was jointly carried out by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Pampanga PPO, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU)-Pampanga, and City of San Fernando Police Station in coordination with PDEA Regional Office 3.

Authorities confiscated around 70 grams of suspected shabu, including the subject of sale, with an estimated standard drug price of Php476,000.00.

The arrested individual was informed of his constitutional rights and brought, together with the confiscated evidence, to the PDEU office for proper disposition and documentation.

PRO3 Director Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for the successful operation and reiterated PRO3’s commitment in sustaining aggressive anti-illegal drug operations across the region.

“Operations like this reflect our unwavering commitment to protect our communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs. We will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations and strengthen coordination with partner agencies to ensure safer and more secure communities in Central Luzon,” RD Mendez said.

BULACAN POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE

The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) acknowledges the circulation of a viral post involving a man allegedly carrying a firearm in Norzagaray, Bulacan. We inform the public that the incident is currently under thorough investigation by the Norzagaray Municipal Police Station.

Based on initial findings, the incident originated from a road-related altercation which reportedly escalated into cases of Trespass to Dwelling, Grave Threat, and Malicious Mischief. The incident occurred in Sitio Roga, Brgy. Minuyan, Norzagaray, Bulacan on May 3, 2026.

Investigation disclosed that the victim was allegedly followed to his residence by the suspects, resulting in a commotion and physical confrontation. The suspects reportedly returned accompanied by another armed individual, during which threats were made and damage to property was inflicted.

Prompt police response led to the arrest of two (2) suspects. Ongoing operations are being conducted to apprehend the remaining suspect who is still at large.

Appropriate charges for Trespass to Dwelling, Grave Threat, and Malicious Mischief have already been filed before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor. Additional legal actions are also being pursued in relation to the alleged use of a firearm and possible violations of existing fi****ms laws.

The Bulacan PPO assures the public that all necessary legal measures are being undertaken to ensure that those responsible are held accountable. We remain steadfast in our commitment to maintaining peace and order and encourage the public to continue cooperating with authorities by reporting any incidents that may threaten public safety.

ASSORTED FI****MS VOLUNTARILY TURNED OVER TO AUTHORITIES IN BATAAN

Assorted fi****ms previously owned by a private security agency were voluntarily turned over to authorities in Balanga City, Bataan on May 4, 2026, following coordination by the agency’s secretary and a family member of the late owner for proper disposition.

Responding to the request, personnel of the Bataan Police Provincial Office, together with the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Balanga City Police Station, conducted verification and inventory at the residence in Barangay Munting Batangas.

A total of 65 assorted fi****ms—including shotguns, rifles, carbines, pistols, and revolvers—along with approximately 2,000 rounds of ammunition and firearm magazines were accounted for and placed under secure custody at Balanga CPS. Initial verification also revealed that some fi****ms bear identical serial numbers, which are now subject to further validation by the Fi****ms and Explosives Office.

PRO3 Director PBGEN Jess B Mendez commended the voluntary turnover, emphasizing that it reflects both responsibility and trust from the community.

“Malaking bagay ang ganitong kusang loob na pakikipagtulungan. Ipinapakita nito na kapag may tiwala at malasakit ang komunidad, mas napapalakas natin ang ating kampanya laban sa loose fi****ms.”

He added that the initiative supports the PNP Focused Agenda on enhanced police operations, integrity monitoring, and public safety, stressing that strong police-community partnership remains key to maintaining peace and order.
