So, how can Alex qualify for the LA 2028 Olympic Games?

🎾 WTA RANKING PATHWAY
The main route is through the WTA singles rankings. For LA28, 56 women’s singles players will receive direct acceptance based on the WTA rankings published on June 12, 2028, subject to the Olympic eligibility and quota rules.

🏆 CONTINENTAL QUALIFICATION
The Asian Games are also part of the Olympic qualification pathway. The 2026 Asian Games women’s singles champion earns an ITF Olympic place, provided the eligibility requirements are met.

🥉 ALEX'S ASIAN GAMES BRONZE
Alex may not have secured the Asian Games Olympic place, but her bronze medal in Nagoya adds another huge achievement to her résumé — and the journey to LA continues.

🇵🇭 REPRESENTING THE PHILIPPINES
Alex will also need to satisfy the required national-team eligibility, including the Billie Jean King Cup participation requirements during the Olympic cycle.

Matapos ang kani-kanilang mga kampanya sa Asian Games nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na magkita sila Alex Eala at EJ Obiena sa Nagoya.

Naglaro pa nga ng tennis ang dalawang sports stars ng Pilipinas at tinuruan pa ni EJ si Alex ng ilang pole vault basics.

Ipinakita rin nila sa isa't-isa ang mga medals na nakuha nila. Nanalo si Alex ng kanyang ikalawang bronze medal sa Asian Games sa Women's Singles habang nadepensahan naman ni EJ ang kanyang gold medal at nakapagtala ng bagong Asian Games record na 5.91m sa pole vault.
