NAPS 2026 – GIRLS' BADMINTON FINAL RESULTS 🏸

The girls' badminton matches brought another round of exciting competition for TVCAi at NAPS 2026. With every match demanding focus, determination, and composure, our players stepped onto the court ready to represent Valley Cathedral Academy.

In the Girls' Singles A, Jillian Cena faced Granby's representative in a challenging matchup. Jillian fought hard throughout the game, but Granby managed to maintain control and eventually secured the victory with a final score of 8–21.

Next up was Krizzy Abad in the Girls' Singles B match. Despite facing a strong opponent, Krizzy continued to battle and refused to give up, putting up a determined effort until the final point. The match ended with a score of 14–21 in Granby's favor.

The final match featured our Girls' Doubles representatives, Heaven Ibuos and Hazel Gantia. The pair worked together and gave everything they had on the court, keeping the match competitive and fighting for every point. Their efforts ultimately resulted in a final score of 17–21 in Granby's favor.

While the results may not have gone our way, Jillian, Krizzy, Heaven, and Hazel showed determination, courage, and sportsmanship throughout their matches. They proudly carried the name of Valley Cathedral Academy onto the court and gave the competition their all. 🏸💙

NAPS 2026 – BADMINTON BOYS' FINAL RESULTS🏸💙

On August 24, the badminton matches for NAPS 2026 officially commenced. The first match was between TVCAi and Granby.

The first half of the match went smoothly, but controversy soon followed in the second half, leading to a rematch. Our TVCAi player, Noah Salazar, stepped up and pulled off the win with a score of 21–19.

Following Noah's victory, he advanced further into the bracket, where he secured a dominant win against CDN, finishing the match with a score of 21–8 in TVCAi's favor.

For the second match, TVCAi was represented by Ivan Catatmon, once again facing Granby. Our player kept up with the competition until, in the middle of a rally, he suddenly went down. Despite the pain, he refused to be substituted and continued fighting until the match ended with a final score of 12–21 in Granby's favor.

In the third and final match, still against Granby, we watched our doubles representatives, Rojie Malala and Vhince Joseph, give it their all. Despite their nervousness, they continued to fight with bravery and determination, ultimately ending the match with a score of 8–21.

On Day 2 of NAPS 2026 Badminton, Noah Salazar advanced to face Montessori his decisive win over CDN earned him this spot to compete further! 🔥 The match was tight and hard-fought, ending with a final score of TVCA 19 – 21 CDM. Through every round of the tournament, Noah displayed incredible skill, focus, and grit, and his outstanding overall performance secured him the 1st Place title! 🥇 He truly made The Valley Cathedral Academy proud, standing as the tournament’s top player with heart and excellence on the court!

Our badminton team really showed courage, determination, and sportsmanship throughout every match, proudly representing Valley Cathedral Academy. 🏸

NAPS 2026 – CHESS FINAL RESULTS ♟️

The NAPS Sports Fest 2026 Chess Competition was held on August 24, 2026, at Western Colleges. Wherein, students from different private schools came together to compete in chess. It aimed to develop and showcase the players' strategic thinking concentration, patience, and sportsmanship.

The competition feature both a Player 1 and Player 2 for the Male and Female Categories. Earl Rioflorido represented Player 1 and Axel Nuez represented Player 2 in the Male Category, while Shaynne Alba represented Player 1 and Cathrina Eboña represented Player 2 in the Female Category. The players representing our school in the chess competition brought their A-game and gave their best throughout the competition.

For the Player 1- Male Category, Cavite Community Academy, Inc (CCAi) took the championship title with a perfect score of 7 wins, followed by Western Colleges, Inc (WCI) with 6 wins.

For the Player 2- Male Category, an unsuspecting twist occurd when Colegio de Montesorri (CDMi) tied against Grandby Colleges with a streak of 6 wins. A rematch was conducted to determine the official champion. Although Grandby had been ahead during the game, Colegio de Montesorri (CDMi) emerged victorius in the rematch and was awarded the championship title, while Grandby was declared 1st runner-up.

For the Player 1- Female Category, Western Colleges, Inc (WCI) took the championship title with 6 wins, while Grandby Colleges followed closely with 5 wins.

For the Player 2- Female Category, Immaculate Conception School (ICSNi) won the championship title with a perfect score of 6 wins, meanwhile Western Colleges, Inc (WCI) was declared 1st runner-up with 5 wins.

The competition was filled with challenging and competitive matches. The participants displayed determination, discipline, patience, and sportsmanship throughout the event. The rematch between CDMi and GRANBY was a notable part of the competition, as it provided a fair opportunity to settle the tie and determine the final champion.

Overall, the chess competition was a meaningful and worthwhile experience for TVCAi. While we did not bring home the championship, our participation allowed our students to represent the school with pride, gain valuable experience, and appreciate the importance of sportsmanship and continuous improvement. ♟️

NAPS 2026 – BASKETBALL FINAL RESULTS 🏀🤼‍♂️

On August 24, the first day of NAPS 2026 officially kicked off, and with it came our Basketball Team, representing Valley Cathedral Academy.

While the first day may not have looked favorable on paper, the team was on fire. We managed to hold the lead against Kingsway until the second quarter, ultimately falling short by only 8 points. The first game ended with a score of TVCA 55–63 Kingsway.

For the second game, we faced Western, a powerhouse in basketball. Despite the tough matchup, we gave it our best and fought until the very end. Although we suffered another loss, the team continued to improve and grow together, proving that the 39–105 scoreline did not deter them.

On the second day, our Basketball Team looked to bounce back against Montessori. And yes, they gave it their all. Multiple players managed to put points on the board, but Montessori maintained a relentless pace until the final buzzer, resulting in a final score of 46–112 in Montessori's favor.

Despite the losses, our team never stopped fighting. Every game was an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow stronger together. Above all, they proudly represented Valley Cathedral Academy with determination, heart, and pride. 🏀🏆

NAPS 2026 | BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL🏐

The Valley Cathedral Academy, Inc. Boys’ Volleyball Team proudly represented the school in NAPS 2026, displaying their determination, teamwork, and competitive spirit during the two-day tournament at King’s Way Christian Academe in San Roque, Naic, Cavite, on August 24–25, 2026. Through their consistent effort and sportsmanship on the court, the team earned 5th Place in the competition. Their performance reflects their dedication and commitment to giving their best in every game.

On Day 1, August 24, the team faced Grandby Colleges of Science and Technology (GCST) in their first match. After a challenging first set, the players fought back in the second but fell short, ending with a 0–2 loss. They bounced back in their second game against Colegio de Montessori (CDM), winning both sets and securing a 2–0 victory. On Day 2, August 25, the team played against Cavite Community Academy, Inc. (CCAI). The first set was closely contested, and the players fought hard throughout the second set, but CCAI ultimately secured the win, ending the match 0–2.

The team was led by Mr. Tristan Kim Apostol, who guided and encouraged the players throughout the competition, helping the team stay focused and united on the court.

Congratulations to our Boys’ Volleyball Team for their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship! Although they did not earn a podium finish, they surely made us proud with their dedication and effort throughout the competition. Keep striving and continue giving your best!

NAPS 2026 | GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL🏐

The Valley Cathedral Academy, Inc. Girls’ Volleyball Team proudly represented the school in NAPS 2026, showcasing their determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the two-day tournament held at Grandby Colleges of Science and Technology in Ibayo Silangan, Naic, Cavite, on August 24–25, 2026. With their dedication and fighting spirit on the court, the team gave their best in every match and gained valuable experience throughout the competition.

On Day 1, August 24, the team faced Cavite Community Academy, Inc. (CCAI) in their first match. The game was closely contested, with both teams exchanging points, but CCAI secured the first set. The players continued to fight in the second set, showing determination and teamwork, but CCAI claimed the set as well, ending the match with a 0–2 record. On Day 2, August 25, the team faced Immaculate Conception School of Naic, Inc. (ICSNI). The players showed great effort and determination throughout the match, keeping the game competitive. Despite their strong serves and defensive plays, ICSNI secured both sets, ending the match with a 0–2 record.

The team was led by Ms. Edralyn Padua, who consistently guided and motivated the players throughout the competition, encouraging them to stay focused, work together, and give their best in every match.

Congratulations to our Girls’ Volleyball Team for their dedication, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition! Your effort and fighting spirit on the court truly made us proud. Keep pushing forward and continue to give your best!
