ANNOUNCEMENT: POSTPONEMENT OF BASKETBALL DEVELOPMENT CAMP and SCHEDULE OF TRYOUTS

Ipinapaalam po namin sa lahat na hindi muna matutuloy ang ating Basketball Development Camp ngayong taon. Ito ay dahil nakatutok ang ating NNHS Naguilian Knights sa kanilang masidhing paghahanda para sa next round ng sa NYBL Region 2, S3 Elimination Round.

Gayunpaman, huwag mag-alala! Para sa mga nagnanais maging bahagi ng ating koponan ngayong taon:

GAME RESULT | NYBL R2 Season 3 (U18)
DEFAULT WIN (FORFEIT)

Back-to-back default na naman ang Naguilian Knights matapos hindi muling dumating ang nakatakdang makakalaban. Sa kabila nito, nananatiling malinis ang rekord ng Knights sa 4-0 at kasalukuyang Rank #1 sa Bracket B ng National Youth Basketball League Region 2, Season 3 (Under 18).

Ayon kay Coach Harold,
"Medyo nakakafrustrate ulit itong panalo na ito kasi walang dumating na kalaban. Kahit pa sabihin nating panalo pa rin ito ay nakakapanghina lang dahil bawat game pinaghahandaan natin, nagsasakripisyo tayo kasama ang mga atleta mula sa bayan natin. Dalawang magkasunod na wala kaming maayos na laro."

Dagdag pa niya,
"Magkaganunman ay kailangan focus pa rin ang team sa next round ng game which is the knock out round na. Kahit #1 kami, kung matalo kami ng #4 sa Bracket namin ay wala ring silbi ang pagod namin."

Pabirong sabi pa nito,
"Sana lang next game, dumating sila… o baka mamaya kami pala ang hindi makarating katulad kanina..."

Muntik na ring hindi umabot sa oras ang Knights kanina dahil sa biglaang aberya sa transportasyon, ngunit salamat sa mabilis na responde ni Kagawad Mac Ibarra, na siyang nagmaneho ng Elf truck para maihatid ang team sa venue sa tamang oras.

Sa ngayon, nakatutok na ang Naguilian Knights sa paghahanda para sa Knockout Round, kung saan ang mananalo ay aabante sa Semifinals.

Ang NAGUILIAN KNIGHTS ay muling naimbitahan upang lumahok sa darating na INTERPUROK BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2026 ng Barangay Quirino.

Kasabay nito, ikinagagalak naming ipahayag na magkakaroon muli ng NAGUILIAN KNIGHTS BASKETBALL DEVELOPMENT CAMP!

📣 IMPORTANT:
Ang Development Camp na ito ay hindi lang training — ito rin ang magiging daan para makapasok sa Junior Naguilian Knights na isasabak sa Interpurok.

Only those who will join the Summer Camp will be given the privilege to be selected and represent the Junior Naguilian Knights.

Sa Katahimikan ng Laban, Umaalingawngaw ang Tagumpay: Ang Knights ay Patuloy na Humahakbang Pasulong

Naging kakaiba ang naging resulta ng laro ngayon. Parehong 2-0 ang standing ng magkabilang team, kaya napakahalaga sana ng laban na ito para makaseguro ng spot sa next round. Ngunit nauwi ito sa win by default.

Ayon kay Coach Harold, Head Coach ng Knights: "Medyo frustrating ang nangyari. Nag-effort ang mga bata—naglaan ng oras, namasahe, at nagsakripisyo kahit hindi madali ang sitwasyon ngayon. Kaya taos-pusong pasasalamat pa rin sa mga magulang na walang sawang sumusuporta sa kanila."

Dagdag pa nito: "Sa kabila nito, panalo pa rin ay panalo—anumang anyo pa ‘yan. Maaaring blessing in disguise na rin ito. Sa totoo lang, may mga pangamba ako kahapon pa dahil hindi kumpleto ang team at hindi rin fully prepared. Hindi nakapagtraining, ngayong araw lang nagkitakita. Pero sa awa ng Poong Maykapal, panalo pa."

Upang hindi masayang ang araw, nagkaroon na lang ng scrimmage ang Knights. Naging masaya ang lahat nang makita mismo si Coach Harold na sumali sa laro—kahit halata ang hingal, game na game pa rin.

Next up: haharap ang Knights sa Ascend Hoops Academy para sa kanilang ika-apat at huling laro sa preliminary elimination round. Ang Top 4 teams sa bracket ay maglalaban sa knockout stage (Top 1 vs Top 4, Top 2 vs Top 3) bago ang crossover matches.

Recharged and Ruthless: The Knights March On

After the break, the Naguilian Knights are back on the hard court—refreshed, recharged, and ready for battle—as they take on their second game in the National Youth Basketball League - Region 2 Qualifier, Season 3.

From the opening tip, the Knights imposed their will with relentless full-court pressure, building an early lead that only grew stronger as the game went on. Dominating the boards, forcing turnovers, and pushing the pace in transition, the Knights controlled every aspect en route to a commanding 131–65 victory over King Hoopers.

Despite some players coming off a break, the team’s 3-day preparation proved enough to stay sharp and in sync. This was true Knight basketball—unselfish, disciplined, and connected, with nearly every basket coming off crisp team assists.

A strong showing at Casa de Madera, Cauayan City.
Now holding a 2–0 standing, the Knights look ahead to a tougher challenge as the elimination round goes on. The next game is expected to be a grind—but this team is built for battles.

The Watch Ends, The Legacy Remains.

It has been a challenging year for the realm, but we have successfully conquered every quest and accomplished all our planned activities this school year. This victory was made possible through the unwavering and strict leadership of our Club President, Angel Corpuz—the true Iron Lady of this organization. Your discipline kept our banners flying high!

The crown jewel of our journey remains the Naguilian Knights Basketball Training and Development Program. Though the fates may not have aligned perfectly on the court this time, our hearts are full of gratitude. To our valiant Team Captains, Ralf Andrei Magno (Basketball Boys) and Jaira Chalzea Pascual (Basketball Girls): thank you for defending the Knights' colors for four fruitful years.

As you step out of the NNHS gates, we wish you all the best. May your basketball careers not end here, but rather flourish and grow even stronger in the lands beyond. To all our Basketball Athletes, you have fought with the heart of a lion.

Congratulations to everyone! The next chapter of the saga is in good hands. Remember, the gates of the Knights will always be open for you.
