Our SportsYu City of Naga Teams made it to the quarterfinals round but bowed down to some of the top beach volleyball competitors in the country.

Joerem and Jomar gave all their best but were defeated and failed to advance to the semi-final round. On the other hand, the same fate happened to Andrei and Alfred but they gave their opponent a run for their money as the fight was a really close one.

Despite the shortcomings, our players promised to work harder during trainings and pledged to even play harder on the next tournaments they will join.

To the youngest players of the Samal Island - PSC Beach Volleyball Tournament and their coach, CONGRATULATIONS from your COnVA and City of Naga Family.

Thank you Coach Joerem for giving it all out, sa imong suporta sa mga bata for their trainings, food and all other expenses. Of course, Daghang Salamat again Kap Scott Chiong and Kons Clint Chiong sa suporta :)

Team SportsYu City of Naga is on their way to Samal Island in Davao for the Samal Island - PSC Summer Beach Volleyball Tournament taking place on May 21 - 22, 2022.

Sportsyu City of Naga is composed of two (2) teams:
A. Team 1 Andrei Vincent Lapay and Alfred Monencillo
B. Team 2 Coach Joerem Yu and Jomar Abalo

They will be competing against some of the strongest beach volleyball contenders from around the Philippines.

Sending them off with good luck and "pabaon" is the Liga ng mga Barangay President, Hon. Scott Juvenal Chiong and City of Naga 1st Councilor, Hon. Clint A. Chiong.

This is yet another experience and opportunity for our young Nagahanons and their coach to show off to the whole country what they have learned during their daily trainings at Barangay Inayagan as this tournament is recognized and co-organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

From your whole City of Naga Volleyball Association (CoNVA) Family, Good Luck Coach Joerem, Jomar, Andrei and Alfred.

Good luck to our SportsYu City of Naga Teams as they will fly tomorrow to participate in the Samal Island - PSC Summer Beach Volleyball Open Tournament.

City of Naga will be sending two teams:
Team 1 Andrei Vincent Lapay and Alfred Monencillo
Team 2 Joerem Yu and Jomar Abalo.

These 2 teams clinched the Cagayan Beach Volleyball Tournament just last April.

Andrei and Alfred were the overall champion of the Boys Under 18 while Joerem and Jomar were the overall champion of the open category.

Your CoNVA Family is already very proud of you 🙂 We wish you all good luck :)
