Bukas na Aklat Batang Mulat Training through Service.... The program will be conducted for four(4) consecutive Saturdays in a chosen barangay during Summer Time. A.

“Bukas na Aklat, Batang Mulat” is a Preschool Children and Preschool Parents’ Community Reading Program that promotes Emergent Literacy through Storytelling and Seminar in the different barangays of Muntinlupa by Preschool Educators' Society members under the direct supervision of Preschool Department Faculty of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. Preschool children ages 4-6 old will be exposed

to the different children’s stories of different genres, while Preschool Parents are encouraged to attend parent's seminar on the importance of storytelling using read aloud strategy. Preschool parents or guardians will be grouped according to the age of their child and are allowed to borrow books from PSED Society weekly. Parents in the community through the story book borrowing scheme can exchange book from among their group mates thus kids learn and hear three to four stories a week. Culminating Activity will follow after four weeks. Recognition, Awarding, Testimony from parents and children about the effectiveness of the program will be solicited. Terminal Report and Documentation will be submitted to the College of Teacher Education for reference. PROGRAM and its NATURE

GOALS and OBJECTIVES
1. Provide Free Preschool Reading Program for preschool children ages 4-6 years old.
2. Provide Free Teaching-Reading Seminar to Community Parents.
3.Use indigenous and innovate instructional materials in teaching reading among preschool kids.
4. Train future BEED-PSED specialization students to use appropriate approaches in teaching reading using Story Books. YEAR OF IMPLEMENTATION
