Jai Alai Building: Manila’s Art Deco Gem

Built in 1940, the Manila Jai Alai Building was one of the finest Art Deco structures in Asia, designed by American architect Welton Becket. Located along Taft Avenue, it housed a professional jai alai fronton (court) and quickly became a symbol of Manila’s modern lifestyle before World War II.

More than just a sports venue, it was a social and architectural icon, known for its thrilling matches and glamorous Sky Room gatherings. Though the building was demolished in 2000, its spirit still lives on in the hearts of those who remember.

📣 Let’s bring the legacy back!
Share this post and help us revive the old memories of Jai Alai—the sport, the stories, and the soul of Manila’s golden past.

A Historic Visit from the Basque Country! 🤝

We had the incredible honor of welcoming a special guest from the Basque Country — a true supporter of our mission to grow Jai Alai in the Philippines! With heartfelt commitment and shared passion, they officially tied up their promised support to the Basque Pelota Association Filipinas. 🙌

This milestone marks a new chapter for the sport we love — with guidance, assistance, and recognition from the very roots of Jai Alai itself.

💥 The future is bright, and this partnership is just the beginning.
💬 Stay tuned. Big things are coming.
