Because of the PVF initiated participation of the PHILIPPINE U17 YOUTH GIRLS in Thailand last October 2014 since 2008. The Philippines moved 36 places up to rank 30th in the FIVB World Rankings for U18 Girls. Thank you to SM, Shakeys', Monolith Constructions, Asics and other PRIVATE sponsors for helping our girls give pride and glory to our country. This is PROGRESS! One for Philippine Volleyball.

The FIVB has approved a change to Rule 11.3 to apply to both Volleyball & Beach VB so that contact with the net by a player between the antennae, during the action of playing the ball, is now a fault.
