MAGKASAMANG MANGANGARAP
Today, we celebrate our 8th Wedding Anniversary. ❤️
Madalas mong ikwento dati na growing up, wala kang pangarap.
Kung mag-aaral ka man o hindi, okay lang sa’yo dahil hindi mo alam kung ano talaga ang gusto mo sa buhay.
Even after graduating from college (thanks to Real Life) and becoming a young professional. You are still wandering what to do next.
May mga nagtatanong sayo kung mag-aasawa ka ba at marami ring nirereto sa’yong mga single ladies, but you chose not to entertain kasi in your mind, there was only one thought:
“𝘐𝘯𝘪𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘱 𝘬𝘰 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘬𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘪 𝘬𝘰, 𝘴𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘱𝘢 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘬𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘣𝘶𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢?”
But I witnessed how God slowly unfolded His plans for you.
Before I even graduated from college, the Lord gave you a word that I would be the woman you would marry. Yet you chose to keep it in your heart and waited until I received my college diploma.
Everything happened in God’s perfect timing.
You talked to my parents and asked permission to pursue me. Then, literally a day after my graduation, you laid your intentions before me. 🎓
Seven months later, you proposed. 💍
Another seven months later, we got married.
And here we are today, celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. ☺️
Looking back, it wasn’t really your plan.
It was His plan from the very beginning.
“𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶,” 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, “𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦.” — Jeremiah 29:11
And I am truly grateful that you obeyed.
This marriage has never been just about us.
From the very beginning, it has always been about the three of us—you, me, and Christ at the center of it all.
Over the years, one of my favorite things is hearing you talk about your dreams for our family.
“𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢, 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘵𝘴𝘦 𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰.”
“𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢, 𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘪 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯.”
“𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢, 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘸𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯.”
And every time I hear you say those words, I can’t help but smile. ☺️
Because the man who once said he had no dreams is now a man filled with dreams—not just for himself, but for his family. 🥹
And one of the greatest blessings of marriage is that those dreams are no longer yours alone.
They have become ours.
Now, we dream together.
We pray together.
We build together.
We trust God together.
And as we look ahead, I know there are still many prayers waiting to be answered and many promises waiting to be fulfilled.
But if the last eight years have taught me anything, it is this:
God is faithful.
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
The same God who wrote our story, brought us together, and sustained us through every season will also complete everything He has started in us.
“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵.” — 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 1:6
I love you Papa and happy 8th Wedding Anniversary to us!
Patuloy tayong mangangarap, at magkasamang makakamit ang ating mga pangarap—habambuhay. 🥰
