Barasoain Running Heroes was formed in 2014 by a group of running and triathlete friends from Malolos City, Bulacan and expanded members from different parts of Luzon to Manila. Our purpose extends beyond the pursuit of fitness; it is rooted in our commitment to embody values inspired by our spiritual connection to God. Meeting regularly on weekends for activities like Long Slow Distance Runs (L*D
), cycling, swimming, hiking, and running drills, our team seeks to promote a holistic and purposeful approach to a healthy lifestyle. As individuals who find inspiration in the sanctity of Barasoain Church, our commitment goes beyond physical wellness, and reaching into the spiritual realm. We take pride in organizing local races in Malolos, such as Barasoain Run, Republika Run, and Kalayaan Run. These events not only unite running communities across Luzon but also serve as a testament to our unwavering dedication to both physical health and spiritual well-being. In 2015, with our membership expanding to over 60 individuals, we decided to launch our own running event, Barasoain Run 2015—a testament to our journey and a celebration of our shared purpose. At Barasoain Running Heroes, our team tagline, "Running is the Bread of life," underscores our belief in the integration of physical and spiritual well-being. Our mission revolves around fostering brotherhood, promoting respect, and, most importantly, honoring God, recognizing that true wealth lies in a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
