Bryson DeChambeau wastes no time making his presence felt in Korea. 🔥⛳

The two-time major champion fired a five-under-par round to grab a share of the first-round lead at LIV Golf Korea alongside Harold Howell III and Scott Vincent.

A packed leaderboard keeps the pressure on with Ian Poulter, Joaquin Niemann, and Thomas Pieters just one shot back heading into the next round.

🏆 Team 1Life captures the 2026 JCI Manila Ryder Cup Championship! ⛳🔥

The JCI Manila Ryder Cup once again proved why it remains the premier two-team format golf competition in the country, bringing together 108 players across some of the Philippines’ top championship courses.

In its debut appearance, Team 1Life opened its campaign at Forest Hills Golf & Country Club before moving through Orchard Golf and Country Club and Subic International Golf Club, with the tournament finale held at Anvaya Cove Golf and Sports Club.

Facing Ninjabong in the deciding showdown on May 5 at Anvaya, Team 1Life stayed composed in a tightly contested battle before pulling away on the back nine to secure a commanding 127.75–112.25 victory.

More than the championship itself, Team 1Life’s triumph was built on unity, trust, teamwork, and sportsmanship — making their first JCI Manila Ryder Cup campaign one to remember.

🇵🇭⛳ PH Golf Team Eyeing Strong Lineup for Asian Games

The Philippines is expected to field a competitive men’s golf team for the Asian Games set this September in Nagoya, Japan.

The National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) is reportedly in discussions with PGA Tour regular Rico Hoey for a possible return to national duty. Hoey, currently inside the world’s Top 100, previously represented the country during the Putra Cup—where the Philippines claimed the team title on home soil.

Also being considered are LIV Golf standout Miguel Tabuena and Japan Tour veteran Justin delos Santos, adding depth and experience to the potential squad.

A strong mix of international experience and proven winners could give Team Philippines a real shot at the podium.

💬 What do you think, guys? Who should make the final lineup?

Three times a week in Japan, Anna Kei Fernandez arrives at the golf course before sunrise — not to play, but to serve as caddie for four players.

At 20, the Filipina golfer left home to chase growth, discipline, and a future in Japanese golf. What she found instead were lessons no driving range could teach.
In Japan, she learned that golf is not just about swings and scores. It is about people, routines, discipline, and character.

“You start reading people,” Anna said. “Their body language, how they react, even how they walk after a bad shot.”

Now, even when she plays alone, she thinks like a caddie — talking herself through every decision, every shot, every mistake.

Far from home, balancing school, training, caddying, and long days, Anna is still chasing the dream of becoming a professional golfer in Japan.

But somewhere along the way, the game became bigger than golf itself.

I came home from Japan with two very different stories about losing things.
First, I left a backpack containing my laptop, phone, and gadgets at a train station on the way to Narita Airport. Hours later, it was recovered — untouched, complete, and safely kept until I could claim it.

A few days later back home, I left a newly bought wallet in a comfort room. This time, it never came back.

It would be easy to turn that into a comparison between countries. But the bigger lesson felt deeper than that.
In golf, one small lapse can ruin an entire round. The same is true in life. What we keep — and what we lose — is often decided long before the moment happens, by the habits we build, the systems we trust, and the discipline we practice every day.

Sometimes the smallest mistakes teach the biggest lessons.

The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP), in full support of the initiative of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) to further promote college golf, is reviving its JGFP College Golf Series starting June 6, 2026 at Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club. ⛳

The series will feature powerhouse schools from the UAAP and NCAA, including Ateneo, La Salle, UP, UST, Adamson, FEU, Benilde, Lyceum, Mapua, San Beda, and Arellano, along with independent schools such as FEATI and Enderun Colleges.

Originally introduced more than a decade ago, the JGFP College Golf Series was a pioneering effort aimed at providing graduating junior golfers with a competitive platform beyond their junior golf careers. The revived series will once again offer year-round opportunities for collegiate golfers through both team and individual stroke play competitions.

“The JGFP will again open opportunities for our graduating HS seniors to have their playground after junior golf. We first recognized the importance of having a true college league more than 10 years ago when we included a college division in our inter-school events. We welcome the interest now of the NGAP and the PSC through Chairman Pato Gregorio in expanding college golf in the Philippines.

This is a game changer for Philippine golf and the JGFP is here to support their efforts,” said JGFP President Oliver Gan.
The first events will initially run alongside regular JGFP tournaments while schedules are coordinated with participating schools and league commitments.

“We are here to do two things: first, to complement the existing school leagues, and second, to provide more opportunities for our college players to compete outside their school leagues — all in cooperation with the NGAP and the PSC in one integrated program effort. We have a lot of plans for the JGFP College Golf Series that will help local college golf grow even faster. Wait for it very soon,” added Rori Castro, JGFP Program Director for College Golf.

⛳️ IT ALL COMES DOWN TO BACOLOD! 🔥🏆

The final two legs of the Junior PGT Visayas-Mindanao Series are set to deliver high-pressure golf as young stars battle for coveted spots in the South Team for the North vs. South Grand Finals this August in Cagayan de Oro.

📍 Bacolod Golf & Country Club | June 3-5
📍 Negros Occidental Golf & Country Club | June 8-10

With only the Top 4 in each division advancing, every shot will matter as contenders fight to secure their places — and hopefuls launch last-minute charges to break into the rankings.

💥 Expect intense battles across all age groups:
🏌️‍♀️ Vanya Go, Brittany Tamayo and Tashanah Balangauan lead the girls’ divisions
🏌️ Ethan Lago, Jared Saban and Alexis Nailga headline the boys’ races

But with the standings still tight, no lead is safe heading into the decisive Bacolod swing.

After falling short in last year’s inaugural North vs. South showdown, Team South is determined to strike back on home turf. The road to redemption starts now. 👊⛳
