Another race. Another challenge. Another opportunity to give your very best.
As you gun for your 4th SUR ultra marathon 1st Place Finish, may you run with strength, discipline, and confidence. You’ve trained hard, you’ve earned your place at the starting line, and now it’s time to trust the preparation and give it everything you’ve got.
May God guide every step, protect you throughout the race, and give you the strength to push through when the road gets tough.
Four-time champion? Let’s go for it! 🏆🏆🏆🏆
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary.”
— Isaiah 40:31
Run your race. Finish strong. All for His glory! 🙏🏃‍♂️🔥
We’re cheering for you! Go get that 4th title! 🏆💪

Our hearts are truly full because of the overwhelming support, encouragement, and appreciation extended by everyone who made this event possible. What began as a simple idea—a desire to bring triathlon beyond the limited few and make it accessible to hopeful and aspiring athletes in our local community—has grown into something far greater than we imagined.

A tiny seed was planted, and today, we are beginning to see it grow into something much greater.
This journey has reminded us that when a community comes together, challenges become opportunities. In times of need, everyone stepped forward, pitched in, and contributed whatever they could. Athletes, volunteers, organizers, supporters, and friends united—not simply because of an event, but because of a shared love for the sport and a desire to see our community grow through it.
The Maasin Triathlon is more than a race. It is a celebration of courage, unity, perseverance, and community spirit.

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
— Zechariah 4:10

What started as a simple and perhaps even random idea has become a shared vision. We may have planted the seed, but it was through the hands, hearts, and generosity of an entire community that it began to grow.

To everyone who believed in this vision, supported the event, participated, volunteered, and cheered from the sidelines—thank you. You have helped turn a small idea into something that belongs to all of us.

May this be only the beginning. May this seed continue to grow, may the vision reach farther, and may more people discover the joy, discipline, friendship, and fellowship that triathlon brings.

Together, we swim. Together, we ride. Together, we run. Together, we grow.
And above all, may God receive all the glory for what He has begun.

HOME SOIL.🙌🙌🙌

Tomorrow, 053 South Tri Team takes on the race right here in our own backyard — Maasin City, Southern Leyte. 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

This time, we are not traveling to another city or chasing a race far from home. We are racing on the roads we know, in the land we call home, surrounded by the people who have supported us every step of the way. ❤️

The course may be familiar, but the challenge will be just as real. Every swim stroke, every pedal, and every stride will demand courage, discipline, and determination.

Tomorrow, we step onto our home roads not only to compete, but to honor God through the gifts, strength, and opportunities He has given us. Every stroke, every pedal, and every stride is a reminder that we are blessed to be here.

To our teammates racing tomorrow: trust your training, trust your preparation, and most importantly, trust God's plan. Whatever the course brings, stay strong, stay together, and never forget why you started.

This is our home. This is our land. This is our race. 🇵🇭💙

Swim with faith.
Bike with courage.
Run with heart.
Finish for His glory. 🙏✝️

🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu

Our two brave teammates, Martin and John, conquered the notorious IRONMAN 70.3 and Sunrise Sprint Lapu-Lapu, held last Sunday at Mactan Newtown! 💪🔥

The tough swim conditions and relentless winds on the bike course were no match for your determination. You pushed through the challenges, stayed the course, and finished strong! 🏅👏

Thank you for taking on this challenge and representing the team with courage and perseverance. We were literally on our toes, tracking you from miles away, cheering for every kilometer and every milestone. And when you crossed that finish line, we rejoiced with you! 🙌

Your victory is a reminder that the journey may be tough, but with courage, perseverance, and faith, we can overcome.

Congratulations!

Trifecta Leg 2!

After conquering Leg 1, it's time to lace up once again for Trifecta Leg 2! No matter the distance, we all share the same passion: to run with purpose, challenge ourselves, and enjoy every step of the journey.

The weeks of training, early morning runs, sore legs, and countless kilometers have all led us to this moment. Now it's time to trust the work we've put in and run with confidence.

Above all, we give all the glory and thanks to God for blessing us with the strength, discipline, good health, and perseverance throughout our training. Every finish line is only possible because of His grace.

To every 053 SOUTH member, remember that this race isn't just about beating the clock—it's about becoming stronger than yesterday, encouraging one another, and enjoying the experience together.

Run with faith. Run with heart. Run with joy.

See you at the starting line, and by God's grace, at the finish line! 🙏💚

We were set to travel by RORO in the middle of a typhoon inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, bringing three cars with us. This has always been our usual route, but because of the weather, our trip was delayed.

While we waited, John and Mommy Joyce had already prepared lunch for us—and what a banquet it was! We expected a simple meal, but instead we were overwhelmed by their generosity and hospitality. Thank you so much!

Our journey would take us from Hilongos to Ubay by RORO, followed by a three-hour drive to Panglao. Knowing that cellphone signals can be unreliable along the way, Doc Alfred and Mommy Abigail thoughtfully lent us their handheld transceivers so we could stay connected throughout the trip. Thank you for always thinking ahead and looking out for everyone.

Even in their absence, their kindness, generosity, and genuine concern for the team were unmistakable. This is what family looks like—not just showing up, but making sure everyone is cared for.

To our teammates who were unable to race with us this time around, we feel your support through all your words of encouragement and prayers.
Thank you, Team 053 South, for constantly reflecting God's love through your actions.

All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone.
