Our hearts are truly full because of the overwhelming support, encouragement, and appreciation extended by everyone who made this event possible. What began as a simple idea—a desire to bring triathlon beyond the limited few and make it accessible to hopeful and aspiring athletes in our local community—has grown into something far greater than we imagined.
A tiny seed was planted, and today, we are beginning to see it grow into something much greater.
This journey has reminded us that when a community comes together, challenges become opportunities. In times of need, everyone stepped forward, pitched in, and contributed whatever they could. Athletes, volunteers, organizers, supporters, and friends united—not simply because of an event, but because of a shared love for the sport and a desire to see our community grow through it.
The Maasin Triathlon is more than a race. It is a celebration of courage, unity, perseverance, and community spirit.
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
— Zechariah 4:10
What started as a simple and perhaps even random idea has become a shared vision. We may have planted the seed, but it was through the hands, hearts, and generosity of an entire community that it began to grow.
To everyone who believed in this vision, supported the event, participated, volunteered, and cheered from the sidelines—thank you. You have helped turn a small idea into something that belongs to all of us.
May this be only the beginning. May this seed continue to grow, may the vision reach farther, and may more people discover the joy, discipline, friendship, and fellowship that triathlon brings.
Together, we swim. Together, we ride. Together, we run. Together, we grow.
And above all, may God receive all the glory for what He has begun.
