LPM Basketball League Official Statement
We, at LPM Basketball League, sincerely regret the unfortunate incidents that transpired during the semi-finals between La Salle Zobel and Arandia College. We express our deepest apologies to all those impacted, including the players, parents, coaches, fans, and the wider community.
LPM Basketball League, in collaboration with the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC), has always been dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, respect, and unity through basketball. The recent occurrence does not embody the values we uphold, and we strongly denounce violence, misconduct, or any actions that compromise the integrity of our league.
To tackle this issue, we are collaborating closely with all parties involved and fully cooperating with the NBTC leadership to ascertain the correct course of action and impose appropriate sanctions. Moving ahead, we will establish more stringent guidelines and preventative measures to guarantee that such incidents do not happen again.
We also urge everyone in our community players, coaches, parents, and fans that we are caretakers of this sport. It is our shared duty to maintain the essence of fair play and act as role models both on and off the court.
Our league remains resolute in its mission to nurture skills, shape character, and inspire future leaders through basketball. We are dedicated to restoring the trust and assurance of our community while continuing to offer a safe and supportive environment for young athletes to develop and flourish.
We value your understanding, patience, and support as we strive to rehabilitate our league’s reputation and ensure a positive atmosphere for everyone.
